My daughter and I were in town for a wedding and decided to have dinner here on Friday evening . We were seated immediately and our waiter was very attentive. There were drink specials advertised and we tried to order one of the specials but were told they “ sold out of that one the previous night “. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip and it was more like a soup than a dip, very watery and flavorless. We both ordered the citrus salad : one with grilled salmon and the other with the steak. Both proteins were undercooked, especially the salmon. I couldn’t finish it due to this. We asked for extra dressing and were shocked to learn we were charged for it on our bill! The portions were very small for an entree salad. They were more like a side salad. We did get one side of Mac and cheese to try and it was good . Overall I would not return to this restaurant if I were in the area again.

Her ribeye was good. I ordered stuffed porchop was out of sausage so I didn't het to try. My airline chicken was over cooked and tough/dry. Risotto was great and fried okra was good. Server was awesome. All food was flavorful. Just not as good as I was hoping. Side note we've eaten all over the country at many places. So we are probably tough critics. Loved the old cellar it was very cool. Oh almost forgot fried green tomatoes were fabulous.(I would request extra sauce.

When you visit Atlanta make the 45 mile drive to Cartersville. There are museums, shops, athletic complexes and a state park nearby plus a variety of excellent eating establishments. The City Cellar and Loft is one example. The menu is varied and the food delicious! I had Shrimp and Grits. It was wonderful. There was an option for a spicy sauce, but I enjoyed the cream sauce. Jack had a ribeye, salad, baked potato and Mac and cheese. He pronounced them delicious! The servings are ample and the service is great. You should visit!

I used to work here 7 years ago. It felt more alive and vibrant. Now they have a trained chef who took most of the good stuff off the menu and what he kept he ruined. The shrimp and grits use to be amazing, now you get 5 shrimp in a mess of runny sauce with little to no grits. Also idk how they think they’re worth $70 for 2 people. I used to be proud of this place and proud to work there. Now I tell everyone “I was there when it was good.” The food and atmosphere were the soul. Now it’s almost like a fine dining price for not a lot of effort.

Visiting from out of town and got some takeout. The atmosphere seemed cool when I picked up the food. It's a downstairs bar like Cheers. It's takeout so the presentation isn't great, but dang that ahi poke was just a few bites. So tiny it was disappointing. Someone in our group got a burger and it looked good.

My husband enjoyed his meal of fried chicken but I couldn’t chew through the steak on my sandwich. Luckily it had pork too
