Here we are again, this time in Cartersville, Ga. The wife and I decided to give this place a go and man, we're glad we did. Where to begin, my head just keeps bouncin from one aspect to another. Ok,ok, I'll try to tone this down and begin. The staff were absolutely great! They made sure and triple, quad-triple- double checked we had whatever we needed. The sweet tea is right there with your mama's. It is off the chain! The food, oh dear God, the food was excellent as far as breakfast goes but the helpings made IHOP look weak and Cracker Barrel jealous. The biscuits were the size of softballs, the grits were creamy and cheeeesy. My wife's biscuits and gravy was enough to serve 2 people or one hungry lumberjack. This place is liken to a "greasy spoon" from the 50's but much nicer decor. It seems like this could have been a house at one time before downtown Cartersville was built up or during. Either way, seating is limited from what we saw but there is enough room for say, 25-30 guests?! I will say this, the only drawback, the guests are the rude ones in here. They'll jump in front of you quicker than getting stung by a bee to pay or bump you out of the way just to make it to the bathroom. The prices are on a bit of the high side but the portions well make up for it. Still, if you are in Cartersville and find yourself hangry, not just, meh hungry. Go give the rooster shack a try, you won't be disappointed. Your wallet my curse you but your stomach will thank you.

I ordered a chicken and egg biscuit yesterday and they mistakenly got my order wrong and gave me an egg and cheese biscuit instead. I called back and told the guy who took my order and he tried to tell me he heard and egg and cheese but no worries he will be able to do something for me next time I come in. So I call today and he’s telling me he heard what he heard and he will not doing anything for me after telling me otherwise yesterday and is now contradicting his word and has a bad attitude and is telling what do I expect out of this situation horrible customer service and as a regular customer who is there almost on a day to day basis they will not get money or my service from me or my girlfriend again

Great walk in diner! Really good burger and onion rings. Excellent service and reasonable prices. Plus they have Texas Pete hot sauce! A rare find in a Georgia restaurant.

Best breakfast spot in town. Get a biscuit - bacon egg and cheese, chicken, sausage - you can’t go wrong. They will be busy, we always grab to-go. Staff is always nice and fast.
