Wasted $ stopping here for my kids. The food was awful hard and cold. I got the popcorn chicken box meal for them and the chicken smelt and tasted like fish so they wouldn’t touch it. The tea was like syrup so I went back through to get them sprite and they give me 2 small cups of sprite when their meals came with the bigger ones.

This is my favorite Checkers. All growing up & traveling the southeast this is one of the better options. I admit there are rough times to choose to stop here, but more times than not, the food is good & folks working are pleasant. The biggest thing is I wish there side to pay in the right side would occasionally be open because it was a big thing years ago my babies loved to do ;)Kid-friendliness: Great to park & take a picnic together on a nice day & it's right down the street from the city's big park.

The older lady that works the window is always rude. We’ve encountered her 6 plus times and she always gives a hard time about giving ketchup. She has also told us we couldn’t upsize the drink on the $5 value meal but we have upsize it at every other location we’ve been to and it is an option if you order on the app. She also fills the cups to the top with ice, so you hardly get any drink. We went tonight and she said “we don’t do the $5 value meal anymore.” It showed I could order it at that location on the app. I really enjoy checkers, but I dread going to this location because it’s always something with her, but the next closest location is 30 mins away.

The person at the window either has some form of neurodivergence or he is straight up prejudiced. , He looked at me strangely, acted like he didn't want to touch my credit card, and held my receipt out to me in a really weird way like he was making sure that we made no physical contact. I don't normally touch people who I'm exchanging currency with so I don't know what his issue is. I was offended but I didn't go Karen on him, asking for the manager. I didn't think it would do any good. I went back a couple of days later and had the complete opposite experience from a mature lady who worked there.

The prices are great, service is always good, and for fast food it is quite tasty. They must be doing something right since there is almost always a line of cars there. The burgers and fries are my go-to, but I'm also a fan of the funnel cake fries. The one thing that draws me in even though I've eaten somewhere else is their ice cream. My husband prefers the vanilla, but for me it is all about the unique swirl, made with strawberry instead of the more common chocolate.
