This is my second visit and it hasn’t disappointed! The food is great, Tony and Jan are wonderful and I’ve enjoyed every second.
The food was very good, Tom our waiter was very nice and attentive. They change the menu from summer to winter and some items that was available in summer may not be available in the winter. The British Pantry and Tea Room is small but quaint and reservations may be required for larger groups.
There is a store in the restaurant that has English items for sale. This place is more for women then men. I would definitely go back.

My friend and I enjoyed a lovely lunch and tea Saturday. Our server, Tony, was amazing! We enjoyed a nice chat with the owner, Jan. This is the second time I’ve visited and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Had lunch with my grandfather, aunt and a friend today. I’ve been here a few times before and enjoyed it each time, the food was great, tea was very good as well, service was excellent. Dawn whom is also my mother served us and was nothing but helpful, funny as well. Jan the owner is a great cook, I look forward to when I can sit down and eat here, the experience is always pleasant. I said it in a previous review that I took down and have now replaced with this one, I’ll say it again the no serving hot tea to children under 12 rule is there for a reason. That being said it said it doesn’t apply to me as I don’t have kids, put quite simply this is a wonderful establishment and deserves more praise than it gets. Thank you for the wonderful experience time and time again. 💜
Visiting Columbus Georgia from San Antonio Texas and we drove 2 hours to enjoy a proper English meal with my British mother in law and husband at the Tea Room. RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!! Walked in and not even a smile or a greeting from the unhappy server. An older, unsociable, nasty woman told us she won’t use the oven because it’s too hot outside. She didn’t even greet us or say hello. We were told over the phone that there would be certain British foods available on the menu when we arrive. There was nothing on the menu that we asked about prior. We decided to leave before we could even order the mediocre looking food. Would NEVER visit here again! You are a horrible woman that treats customers very poorly.
Yall are really getting blasted right now on FB.

This place is a hidden gem. I tried for the first time today and I was impressed. I had the chicken and mushroom pie. It’s similar to a chicken pot pie but way better. The flakey buttery crust was very thick and cooked to perfection. The filling had a very nice flavor. The ratio to filling and crust was spot on.
I'm British and even I looked at the food like
"What the hell is that"
NOBODY and I mean NOBODY in Britain puts mustard and ham together in a sandwich

Do not bother going unless you have a reservation. Even if place is empty and 1 hour away from closing, they prefer not to serve.

Haven't been there in a long time but the consistently good food and friendly staff will bring us

Every time I'm in the area I stop in. This is JUST like proper tea rooms in the UK, not the Disneyfied versions you can find over here. (Children should know how to behave here as it is more for adults to enjoy the atmosphere than kids.)

A nice little spot to have a cup of tea. The atmosphere feels very personal. The menu includes a few tea options and enough dishes for more than just tea time. The store contains a pretty wide variety of imported British food and candy to take home with you. Definitely worth a stop for lunch and dessert.
