Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken

I always pick up from this location when I have family in town because they love their food. This is the second or third time I’ve been charged for pie although they were out of it/didn’t put it in my to go bag.

When I called to request a refund for it not being in my bag, the lady on the phone (Tai) hung up on me. She asked for my name after I had given it to her already, then probably was frustrated by that response, although I honestly feel like I should be the one frustrated having to go through all of this for a $6 pie, then to be hung up on afterwards? I should get my entire order refunded at this point.

Great food so I am giving 3 stars, plus I’ve never experienced this service here before although I’ve been quite a few times, but today I didn’t deserve to be treated that way. I hope this was a unique situation and she doesn’t treat other customers this way.

This location is pretty good, the inside layout is a little weird like they could have a better setup if you ask me.
They're constantly ensuring great service from the server's mainly, the food is okay would recommend typically asking them to cook it longer otherwise you might get undercooked chicken to be completely honest. Plus the prices are a bit on the high side which is crazy for the portion sizes you get, honestly they need to have a rework of the menu or be more realistic with their pricing.
Honestly the only people I know that stay on top of everything and actually seem like their there to do the job correctly is Ron & Elysant to be completely real.

One and done here. I work in Chamblee and have passed this restaurant a few times, so I decided to try it. Horrible mistake. $14.03 for 1 wing, 1 leg, and 1 small order of mac and cheese, ridiculously overpriced for what you get. I was thinking they'd be jumbo for that price, but no, they are regular sized. The mac and cheese was good but the chicken was pretty bad. As soon as I took 2 bites it was ridiculously pink and bloody, I didn't even finish the rest of the leg because of the way it turned my stomach seeing that(it seems this is a constant problem based on the reviews, which I should have believed instead of thinking my experience would be better). One positive was the server, ellie, had a very positive attitude. Will not be going back and will tell my coworkers not to go as they have also been wondering if it's any good, but I will gladly be the Guinea pig to tell them all not to even bother going. Pictured: The small portions you get for $14 and then the leg I got that was horribly undercooked.

I've been to this location (Chamblee) quite a few times and my last two visits were not the greatest. Gus' chicken is always my top choice when I want chicken. However, my recent visit I walked in to place a takeout order. I waited over an hour to only find out my order was never started even though several other people came and went with their takeout orders. We were lied to about the reasons why we couldn't order sweet tea and catfish. After asking for a refund, we received our food a few minutes later and only when we left did we find out that our chicken was raw and not cooked! It's obvious they were short on staff which was why we waited for such an unreasonable timeframe but definitely don't have much confidence to return back to this location.

The only thing I regret with my recent purchase is that I didn’t order more chicken🤣. I’ve tried Gus from all 3 locations in the Atlanta area (Peachtree, Chamblee, and Roswell), and this one is by far the best location in my opinion. The chicken is fried to perfection and the flavor- *chefs kiss* so good! I ordered ahead but I would suggest ordering while you’re there because they tend to have daily specials. Would definitely recommend and making another trip to this location very soon!

Big fan of Gus’s. First time at this location. Everything was just as expected, great service, chicken was crispy, sides were delicious. The only thing, the spice was not there. I got hints but not the usual heat I crave from Gus’s.

Standards has really drop and price has increased. I ate there yesterday and service was very slow and the food was fresh but no flavor and dry. I have eaten at this location many times but the quality and pride has really dropped. HOPEFULLY they can get it back.I really felt bad paying 65.00 for a 3 piece meal and fried pickles for 2 people.

Decent rustic spot with good chicken. Kitchen was staffed with two cooks and one table with 3 people dining in, I ordered 2 piece of chicken only no sides it took about 36 minutes. 36 minutes for two pieces of chicken. Again, 36 minutes for two pieces of chicken, kitchen staffed and only a party of 3 at the table.

Although very good it's very overpriced. The pieces of chicken were very small and not worth the price. The quality and taste of the chicken was excellent and on that alone a 4.5 but the size of the pieces for the price charged brings down to 2.5/3.

Best fried chicken I've ever eat! Root beer float is an awesome sub drink. The chicken is crispy outside and juicy inside, the seasoning is on point, not so much but not less. MUST TRY!!!!

I’m from New Jersey and the food was amazing here Veronica and General manager, Wille are amazing. The chicken was so juicy baked beans and the macaroni and cheese was out of this world might be the best I’ve ever had.
