I’ve been coming here for many years, and it never disappoints. My favorite appetizers are the curry pies and yuka fries — so flavorful and perfectly crispy. For mains, we always go for the Singapore rice noodles and pineapple or olive fried rice — both are incredibly delicious and consistently fresh. If you’re craving authentic Malaysian flavors made fully vegan, this is the place to be! Updated from previous review on 2025-10-22

We’ve been coming to Mamak for years and it is always amazing. It’s bright and sunny, and the food is super flavorful! My favorites are the olive fried rice (literally the best!) and the yucca fries and the lemak curry, but I’ve tried most of the menu at this point and it’s all been awesome.

Plenty of Parking outside. The place has beautiful Ambience and service is good.
They have a long menu with variety of choices and everything Vegetarian so no worries.
Tried Mee Goreng Noodles and Honey Tangerine Chicken with white rice and both were delicious and fulfilling. Portion size is good compared to price.

Restroom was clean. Overall a great find.

Order Chow Kway Teow, Kari Sayur, and don’t miss the Coconut soup! Treat yourself to a lychee soda, too! 😋

Common courtesy is missing from the staff.

I'd been wanting to come to this place for a while; Was in the area and saw that it was 15 minutes away so headed on over for a 'quick' pick-up lunch.

PROS : The restaurant is beautiful. Nice location, plenty of parking. Very clean and cutesy.. the pan fried dumplings were tasty (though I'm not a fan of corn).. but nice portion and adequate amount of dip.

CONS : the pumpkin soup was absolutely bland and had no flavor at all. Didn't have more than a taste of that. Also, I'd mentioned to them that I was on a time crunch and in between class, yet the lady at the front just stood there with a blank stare (not tending to anything or anyone) and allowed me to wait when my order was in fact ready, unbeknownst to me. When I walked up she just casually handed me the bag, no emotion. I said thank you, no response. She had a cold energy. (If you knew my food was ready and that I was in a hurry, why did you just stand there and have me waiting for no reason???) The look in her eyes makes me never want to go back. So I won't.

Simple.

Food as always was delicious and staff very friendly as usual. Took a non-vegan Friend and he was impressed with how flavorful all items were. Had yucca fried and beyond satay as appetizers and he could not believe they were plant based.

The honey tangerine chicken tasted like actual chicken! Enjoyed it with a lychee ice tea. So beautiful inside

This was my first experience with Malaysian food and oh my god!! It was great!! Being vegan was the icing on the cake. The good was to perfection - flavorful, lower in salt, and fun. Yes the food was fun. I had fried rice made with diced tofu & mushrooms, peas, carrots and corn, no egg replacement! It was so good!!! The chicken satay was crispy and soft inside. It totally tricked my family into thinking it was real chicken. They even like tofu now. I highly recommend trying them out. For the hardcore meat eaters they have a parent restaurant called Mamak. They serve actual meat they are non-vegan.

This place is amazing. Delicious food, beautiful decor, friendly staff. We were visiting from our of town and wanted something vegetarian-friendly, unique, and on the healthier side, and Mamak hit all the marks. We ordered the curry pie appetizer, which came out hot and fresh, and was absolutely delicious. I had the basil chicken and my husband had the black pepper beef (and a Thai tea). We both enjoyed our meals immensely. The basil chicken was so flavorful. We will absolutely come back the next time we are in the area.

We hard heard such good things about this place and I can say that it was just OK. The noodles were little too oily but I did like the mixed vegetable curry.

Mamak Vegan is incredible! My favorite restaurant in ATL & one of my favorite restaurants in the world!

The Lemak Curry is my favorite dish, the ingredients are so fresh and have a wonderful variety, the soft tofu is delightful, and the flavor is super rich and delicious, I crave it often!
