After reading so many good reviews of this BBQ spot, we decided to give it a try. What a disappointment! Service included them taking your order at the counter and fixing your order. That part was efficient. We got the BBQ plate: mine with Brunswick stew and collard greens and my husband's with the stew and baked beans. The BBQ was finely chopped with no fat, but lacked any wood smoked flavor. The vinegar sauce was not to our liking and the only one offered. The stew was very watery with no meat or taste. The baked beans were fresh from a can with no additions. The greens were ok with pieces of fat included. The price of this meal was a bargain at $10, but we won't be back as the food just wasn't worth it.

Visited on a Saturday at lunch and they were quite busy but the service was fast. We tried a bbq chicken sandwich, a bbq pork sandwich, baked beans, potato salad, brunswick stew, mac and cheese and their sweet tea. The sandwiches were delicious. Smaller than we expected but they packed the meat on there. The sauce that comes on the sandwiches has a little tang to it. I really enjoyed it. The stew and baked beans were perfect. The other sides seemed a little bland. We will definitely be back to try the other options. Parking is easy. Glad to see it was woman owned.

My wife prefers the 1/2 chicken plate or the bbq sandwich with cole slaw. We like Old Brick Pit because the meat is clean and high quality. The sides (beans, potato salad, and slaw) are consistently good. Deserts are banana pudding and fruit cobbler. I recommend the pudding. Prices are reasonable and parking is free.
