The building inside and out looks and feels great. Got the Brisket and I was extremely dissatisfied. It was definitely overcooked and over priced. There’s a difference between having a good bark and just plain burnt. The sides are good and you see the effort is there but the execution on the meat was a fail.

It was stated online that the restaurant was open. I drove 5 miles to do a pick up order and gift to the store at around 5:30. They’re closed. No note on the door or anything. As this was the first time, I was gonna try out the restaurant because I loved maybe five items that were on their menu. Don’t know if I would ever get a chance to taste them because of a bad experience.

Southbound hosted out annual holiday part this year. The staff and atmosphere were fantastic and the food was great. I would highly recommend considering them for your next event. I know we will for ours!

The hostess and the whole team is very Friendly and Helpful. I ordered the Brisket, chicken wings and collard greens...it was All so Good!!! The place is so Beautiful, I will have to come back for more.

I have been here numerous times in the last month and a half. I am gluten free and this restaurant makes it easier to order food. The menu is clearly marked and the servers I have had are knowledge about what is gluten free on their menu. When you order takeout, things are easily ordered gluten free. Their food is wonderful and fresh and delicious!

Really not sure why the reviews are so high here. I will say the staff was lovely and actual restaurant is beautiful, exposed brick and cool vibe. The food however, no bueno. The food was actually stinky when they delivered it to the table. I got fish tacos and brussel sprouts(Luckily the brussels were good). My friend got the brisket/pulled pork and Mac and cheese and fries. No flavor in Mac and fries and good tasting but dry meat.

Be careful eating here if you have any food allergies or are gluten intolerant. Had a very obvious and immediate reaction to the “gluten free” ramen noodles after a few bites. Had the gluten free fried green tomatoes right before so either could have been the culprit. Face became flushed and tingling, skin clammy. I’ve had slight cross contamination here and there without too much drama, but this was beyond that and not pleasant. The soup base in the ramen was pretty lackluster as well with a strange aftertaste. Also tried the octopus that came out visibly overcooked with zero moisture, difficult to cut through. This was thankfully replaced by the kitchen but the replacement lacked any substantial flavor. Staff was friendly, but unfortunately that’s about the only positive thing I can say about this experience.
