I photographed a wedding reception at Southbound's Peabody room for a couple that had eloped in Colorado earlier in the year. They had a drop-in, hors d'oeuvres and drinks setup, which this was perfect for, though I also know it's also suitable for sit-down dinners, live music and other types of events. Food was great, staff was friendly, what's not to like?

I’m from Florida, so this is an amazing find. Food was fantastic and the bartender was especially kind and helpful. I had the Brussels w/chicken and deviled eggs. Awesome meal. I wish I had one of these near me! It was Whiskey Weds so I tried a new drink…Brown Derby. Wonderful!

I ordered the fried green tomatoes and the hot chicken. The fried green tomatoes were interesting—kind of like candied apples with a touch of pepper. They didn’t have that usual ‘fried’ feel, but the flavor was solid. Personally, I’d save them for last since they’re super sweet, almost like a dessert.
The hot chicken was good, but it didn’t blow me away. It tasted like they went heavy on Old Bay or maybe paprika, which kind of took over the flavor for me. The fries, though? Really great. But their ketchup was super sweet, just like the green tomatoes—kind of too much.
I did have to wait a bit longer than I expected for a table, and then they brought me the bill before I was done eating. Some people might like the quick service, but it made me feel a bit rushed. Overall, it was an okay experience. With a few tweaks, they could really step it up!

The food was great…the “sides” that accompanied the brisket was enough to be shared. The meat was tender and flavorful.
I was there for dinner while in business travel. I’d definitely go back if I’m in the area.

Have been here a few times over the years as the area has grown, especially with how cool the interior is.
Have unfortunately not been a huge fan of their food. Tried the fried green tomatoes and the deviled eggs recently which are usually safe bets at a Southern spot but the flavors and consistency were off.
We went between lunch and dinner so maybe the kitchen wasn’t firing on all cylinders.
Bartender was great though and I expect Southbound to continue to do well considering the area.

My wife and I had a great dinner at Southbound recently. I had gluten free ramen which was delicious. We had a seasonal beet salad that was amazing.
The waitress was very friendly, and the kitchen was very accommodating to dietary restrictions and menu modifications. The kitchen was very fast.
Vegetarian options: They can/will accommodate vegetarians and can leave meat out of certain dishes.
Dietary restrictions: Many gluten free options.

The food and atmosphere is wonderful! As someone who follows a gluten free diet I love that basically every menu item is gluten free or can be prepared gluten free. The fried green tomatoes are so good! Can’t wait to come back!

Amazing food! Especially if you're gluten free! There are a ton of items on the menu already gluten free, or that they can make gluten free. I had the Chamblee hot chicken and I can't wait to go back and have it again! I also ordered the Mint Condition cocktail, and that was great as well!

Second time visiting for Dinner. Started with the wings and deviled eggs, both of which are excellent! The Summet toast is great! I had the brisket and my wife the chile relleno Burger, again fantastic! Only mediocre item was the buffalo cauliflower, not crispy enough but still decent!
