I went in to get a small chai latte. I had about 45 minutes before I had to be somewhere and wanted to sit there and read for awhile til it was time to leave. There was only one person in line ahead of me, so I thought yay! It won't take long to fill my order. Well the guy ahead of me kept talking and talking and talking and the baristas were having great fun talking with him. He already had his order. Still everybody kept talking. I was not acknowledged at all. So I left. No one apologized or said sorry, come back, etc. Never again will I go there. This was November 18th atlrond 1:30 pm

I visited this Starbucks today 11/13/25 (around 3:30 PM) and had a very disappointing experience. I usually come here for my regular drink — a vanilla bean with caramel drizzle — so I’m not someone who stops by without supporting the business. Today, however, I was feeling dehydrated and simply needed a cup of water.
At the drive-thru, the woman taking orders (Caucasian, wearing two pigtails) responded with an attitude and said, “You have to make a purchase,” without any explanation or courtesy. No context, no offer to charge for the water, nothing.
I went inside for clarification, and the employee inside kindly explained that the policy recently changed and that customers now have to make a purchase to receive water. That explanation was perfectly reasonable — and it’s exactly what should have been communicated at the drive-thru.
While I was talking to the helpful employee inside, the drive-thru employee came over and repeated the same phrase, “You have to make a purchase,” in a very antagonizing tone, as if she was trying to escalate the situation even further. It was completely unnecessary and unprofessional.
What bothered me most is that you never know why someone urgently needs water — I could’ve been lightheaded, close to passing out, or needing water for my baby’s formula. On a day when I simply needed water, I was met with hostility from a store I regularly spend money with.
Because of this experience, I will not be visiting this particular Starbucks again, and I would not encourage others to either. Policy changes are understandable — disrespect is not.
I know it’s not the baristas’ fault, but this has really become a problem. Lately groups of young kids are being dropped off or left unsupervised, are incredibly loud and disruptive, and they hoard all the tables by claiming them by putting their backpacks on tables and chairs they’re not even using. It’s nearly impossible to enjoy a coffee in peace anymore.
I’ve been a regular customer at this Starbucks for a while because I enjoy the coffee and the atmosphere for getting work done. Unfortunately, lately it’s become extremely difficult to focus or relax here. Groups of loud middle-school students now gather regularly, turning what used to be a calm environment into more of a hangout spot than a café. I hope management can address this issue—perhaps by setting clearer expectations for noise levels or supervising group behavior—so that customers who come to work or unwind can enjoy the space again.
The drink i asked for wasn’t supposed to have ice , other than that they didn’t even fill up the cup halfway the ice portion wasn’t even the problem it was the amount of the drink problem, I spend a lot of moneyy here, i will not be returning to any Starbucks i will go to Tim Horton instead now good luck on your tips i used tip every visit you guys lost a valuable customer

If you’re going to give me half the drink, why am I paying FULL price? Foam shouldn’t be half the cup. This has happened on more than multiple occasions.
Gerald was amazing, great service. Best experience ever while visiting my daughter at college!

The best Starbucks in Atlanta. Every time I come here, the drinks I get are better than the others. It's clear that it matters who works in the stores because that's what the results are. I'm amazed and overjoyed to say that this Starbucks is my favorite.

We asked for straws numerous times, which we saw plenty from the window, and the barista told us she was saving them for other customers. I don’t understand this knowledge as we needed them for our drinks that we paid for. She was very rude overall, offered no apology.
I’m glad they brought back the mugs, but they’re back being political again. I just wanted coffee, not a sermon.
