Sub-base / Dandy Donuts

The donuts were fresh. I was blown away by the apple fritters. Customer service was okay. The team wasn’t too welcoming or helpful at describing their options. I would probably come back for an apple fritter but that’s about it.

Went in and felt the place looked a little unclean. Shrugged it off and tried to look at the menu and I was rushed to pick something. Also was told I had to get two donuts if I wasn’t paying with cash, cool. Saw the lady scratch under her arm pit before grabbing the tongs to get my selections. Got home, bit the “butter milk” donut and initial thought, was, “damn! That’s good”. Bit again and felt some resistance when pulling away… I spit out immediately, to find a hair in it, it was in the glaze. My face is scrunched up thinking about it. I threw the bag of donuts in the trash. I’ve lived in the area 10+ years and this was my first time going there, I hate to say it’s also my last.

Best donuts around!! You’re missing out if you haven’t tried these. Seriously the BEST apple fritter I’ve ever had and, of course, the Boston Cream is perfect!

Came here on a whim this morning, the lady at the front counter was very sweet.. they had simple donuts but they were very very good.. light and airy, fresh.. and super fair pricing. I’ll be coming back here.

They're not the best donuts. The blueberry cake donut didn't actually have blueberries, just speckles. The donut was crumbly and didn't hold up well to coffee, either. Extremely nice owner, though.

I loved the donuts here! The jelly filled and Boston Creme were particularly delicious. Check this place out for some fresh, crisp donuts!

the nicest vietnamese owners! I saw this place on facebook and decided to stop by and try it! I got an Italian sub and the cream donut. The donut was so flakey and delicious. I will be back!!!

I could not speak more highly of this donut and sub shop. I love grabbing donuts here for the office and recently tried their subs and absolutely 10/10! The staff is a delight and just so sweet.

Sub Base, in the early 90s, was the absolute best sandwich you could get. Fresh baked bread piled high with all the "fixings". It's been a long time since I had the opportunity to re-visit the place (35 years) and I gotta say... DAMN IF They Don't STILL HAVE A GREAT SANDWICH!! The current owners, for the last 14 years, Not only kept the Sammy the best but they added Dandy Donuts. AND THEY ARE KILLER TOO! Hot and fresh just like the sandwiches. Treat yourself and stop by this iconic spot as soon as you can but get there early. The line moves quick but they close at 3. ENJOY!!
