The Dugout Sports Bar and Grill

We HIGHLY recommend stopping by the Dugout. It is just a small drive out of Helen and totally worth it!! The food, the atmosphere and the hospitality are top tier. My husband had a steak and it was fantastic. The beef is local and you can definitely tell the difference. We stopped by rather close to their closing time as we had just stumbled upon them and needed to grab dinner. Despite out late arrival, they made us feel welcome and not rushed at all. The quality of our service was not affected by our arrival time and that is so rare these days. Destany, our waitress was super friendly! Ask for her if you get to stop by!

The servers are the only good thing about this place.

Friendly staff, good food, local hangout, great area. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Well kept. It's out of the busy area of town but close enough to go into town to get what you need. Still in the county enough to see deer and wildlife walk by.

We tried Dugout for the first time and honestly can't believe we waited this long. Michelle was our waitress, and she was awesome. From the second she came to the table, she made us feel welcome. She's funny, sarcastic in the best way, and had my husband, daughter, and me laughing the whole time. She made us feel like we'd been coming there for years.

The food was great too. We had the meal with two hot dogs, (one with coleslaw and one with chili and cheese), hot wings and onion rings. Everything was really good.

After we finished our meal, Jarrod came by to check on us and ended up hanging out and talking with us for a while. He never made us feel rushed even though we were done eating, and they were getting ready to close. You can tell they truly appreciate their customers.

Nothing went wrong during our visit, but Michelle and Jarrod made the whole experience that much better. We've definitely found a new regular spot, and we're kind of disappointed for not trying Dugout sooner. Even our 12 year old wants to go back.

Food was great! We went on a Friday night and it was a packed house. Service was slow because of so many there. They were out of the daily special, which was prime rib. Already sold out earlier. We were worn down from the wait before we received our food. But we get understand why. I will go again but maybe for lunch instead. Sweet servers. Very nice.

The burgers are the best I’ve ever had. Great atmosphere and staff were amazing. 10/10

I had wings. They were really good. Our server was fantastic. However, when we walked in there was one other table, a patron at the bar,us (party of four) and at least 4 big screen television. I asked that ONE of the televisions be turned to the World Cup. I wanted to see the last half. The bar tender initially said no. Then told me he would only put it on the tv directly above my head. Half time is only 15 min and it had already been 5. He changed the channel and refused to put it back on the television. This is a sports bar with an empty dining room and at least 4 televisions. Tell me why he couldn't let me watch the game?? I don't appreciate alfa male bartenders that think that only they matter. Sorry not sorry. I won't be back. He was an ENTIRELY BAD VIBE! DO BETTER

We love your place especially the staff. We came in for prime rib friday night. Noticed new faces. Is there a new owner?
The roast beef was too tough to cut. The guy behind me finally picked his up and tried to bite through it. Few were finishing their meal. Please do better.
