The pizza was delicious and came out fast and hot. Server was wonderful and attentive. We tried the pear cider and that was great. We also had the creamsicle cake and that was very good. Cute place. Will return when we are back in Clayton.

We come here on our way up to North Carolina. It is the best hidden gem all the food is incredible.My fiancé used to live nearby and introduced us. The best thing on the menu is the chicken Caesar salad wow! Also enjoyed the bourbon chocolate cake.

Always a wonderful meal at Fortify! And the servers are so nice and enjoyable to talk to. My daughter enjoyed the venison w/carrots and my other daughter had the roasted chicken and really liked it! It was their first time there and I was excited to give them that experience. I had the fried green tomatoes, which I think were not completely ripe as they were kind of hard. But, I've had them there before and they are delicious!! They are served as an appetizer over grits and it's enough for me as a meal. We also had the gouda bites and I always enjoy them!

The homemade butter is great, they have interesting cocktails, although I ordered the same drink twice, the drinks tasted different. The fried green tomatoes were so so but the grits was amazing! The beef filet dinner was very nice, and the grits bowl was good because of the grits, fried shrimp was tasty, sausage was ordinary. Our server was outstanding.

The food was delicious and the wait staff was cordial. We had previously eaten at the restaurant but it was quit noisy - to the point that we had avoided returning. We recently decided to give them another try and were pleasantly surprised to find that sound attenuating panels have been added; they work wonderfully! We will definitely be returning.

Amazing wood fire pizza. Crust is crisp and the toppings are premium quality. The mozzarella sticks are soo good too!! Our server Paulina was nice enough to talk about Super Mario with us ??

Our first time here based on prior reviews. Let me start off with the food as most people want to hear about this first- Food was excellent. Appetizers of Gouda Fritters (out of this world) and PEI mussels. Entrees were Springer Chicken stuffed with mushroom and the Salmon special. Both were delicious and tasty, with a phenomenal presentation of the plating. The salmon plate did not taste fishy at all cooked at medium, for those people that deem salmon as a "too fishy tasting" meal. Service.....was OUTSTANDING. Every person in that restaurant was attentive to your needs. Our server- Victoria C., was the best server I had in a very long time. If I had a business that requires customer service, I would try and lure her away- she was THAT good. Thank you Victoria for making our first time experience a great one at Fortify Kitchen and Bar.
