New restaurant has opened: James' Place. Had high hopes for Iron and Oak--but they opened during the Covid outbreak and never seemed to hit their stride.

Sadly disappointed.Our server (bartender) was good. We were seated quickly. The wine was alright and my husband enjoyed his old fashioned.We both ordered the "select" serloin steak and we would not recommend. We were not expecting simliar to a chop steak. The "premium" steaks seems rather expensive for the place and plates.Asked for rare to medium rare and we were given medium to well done.Cute place, nice workers, but if I was the owner I'd ditch the "select" section and offer the premium steaks at a lower cost.

Awesome experience. Food was great and service was good. The atmosphere of the restaurant was casual, yet still upclass. Excellent place for both a regular outing and a dinner-date.

This is a relatively new restaurant that was getting started right before Covid hit. My wife and I ate here when it was still within a month of opening and expecting it to be bad with the usual kinks of a new restaurant.... it was great! We ate there again tonight and it was even better! These steaks are not supposed to taste like other places because they cook them in an iron skillet. It’s a great tasting steak to me. Recommend giving them a shot if you are in the area!

Sorry. Was looking for a great steak/bbq place opening up in the area. Gave it a try 3 times to make sure. The first time food tasted like it was packaged and warmed up in a microwave, the second time, the steak was not good and fries were cold. Gave it a 3rd try a few weeks ago and same thing. Good location, and a great potential, but didn't deliver. Stick to the bar.

Very disappointing experience! The steaks here were very hard, burnt, and not tasty all. The vegetables were equally terrible. When we told the waitress about the food there was unfortunately nothing she could do. Clearly the owners are not interested in standing behind the food they cook. We recommend you look elsewhere for a good steak, this is not the place.

We went here because it was recommended. What a disappointment. Place was crowded, but waitress was able to seat us in the bar area. My husband and I both got the steaks. They were super thin and neither one cooked anything close to what we ordered. Mine was so burnt and thin that it was like the edges of a charbroiled hamburger. Nothing like a $20+ “steak”. The meat was so salty that it was almost not edible. My husband’s was supposed to be medium well, but the center was completely raw. The sweet potato wedges were good and my daughter liked her salmon. But the steaks were probably one of the worst steaks I’ve ever tried to eat. So bad!!

Such a great little find! We have driven by a hundred times and the parking lot is always packed so finally decided to stop in. The outside does not give the inside any justice, what a great little cozy spot. Can't wait for the summer to use their patio!

Service was on point. The restaurant was adorable and clean. The presentation of the food was great. The food was good, but for the price we expected better. The steak was gristley and the macaroni salad needed more mayo. BUT for someone that was just passing through our bellies are full.
I’d love to tell you it was awful, but only so you wouldn’t come, and I wouldn’t have to wait for a seat!But it was INCREDIBLE! We were seated quickly! Bobbie, our sever was the sweetest and took such good care of us! The rest of the staff was also attentive! When I say everything was phenomenal from start to finish is an understatement! Pork belly, steak, burger, vegetables, and those margaritas! Everything was flavorful and cooked to perfection! We will definitely be back!! I had to order dessert to go but ended up eating it the car on the way home! Our new favorite spot!! Hats off to the cooks!!

Speedy food service overall. All dishes tasted fresh, especially the salad. The Potato Skins were a little bland, but they were also ordered without sour cream (a little salt and pepper was a quick fix). As for the main dish, the Honey Sesame Salmon was most definitely one to return for. Perfectly cooked and excellent flavor. My wife's steak was slightly over cooked. She liked it, but what I tasted was mediocre at best. Of the 2 choices for quality of meat, she ordered the lower end.

We went there for the Filet but after we ordered we were later told they did not have filet. We were with another couple and our 4 plates were individually brought out to the table several minutes apart instead of being able to all eat at the same time. Not a very good first experience

waitress not friendly and only came back to bring our check. steaks were listed as market price and we trusted them. we were charged $39.00 for a 6 ounce filet. we may not have minded as much if the steak had been any good. we took it home to our dogs. there was no social distancing. we will never come back
