Five stars for the cheesecake. It is the best around.

And yes, the other food, service, and atmosphere was pretty good too, but the cheesecake!

This was my first time at the this location. I have been to the Mabella in downtown before. The service was great. The prices were reasonable and portions matched the prices. Desert here is always a great move!

The bourbon marinated ribeye was delicious, and cooked to perfection.
The service was fantastic, excellent sides and cocktails.

Our first time to this location and my husband and I really enjoyed ourselves! Very little wait on a Friday night, which was pleasantly surprising. Our server mentioned there is a new chef and they rolled out a new menu just the day before! All of our drinks were very good - we tried a few cocktails and the white wine sangria - and were priced fairly compared to other places. Our server Kevin was funny and attentive and we are grateful we got to meet him! We feel like he paced our courses well and we never felt like we were waiting too long for anything, or were rushed. We sat in a back room so it was probably a little quieter than around the bar, which we liked. We also enjoyed the table side bread, we liked that the garlic bread was made with chili flakes and was a smaller portion.
Some of the things we ordered -
- app special, which was a duo of seafood dip, and fried cheese wedges with brishetta
- grilled peach and buratta salad - this was so good! Loved the grilled fruit and it was such a delicious combination of flavors, huge portion of buratta
- ribeye steaks - both of ours were cooked a perfect medium rare, salted perfectly (many places over salt food, in my opinion), and so satisfying. We tried the spinach, risotto, shaved brussels, and mushrooms with our steaks and we enjoyed all the sides
- coconut cake - light and not to sweet! Chosen based on our servers recommendation and he did not steer us wrong!
Overall, we had 4 drinks, a large app (basically 2 apps), a salad, two 16oz steaks, and a dessert and it was about $200 before tax and tip which is what we expected to pay, and I came home with delicious leftovers! Thank you again to Kevin and the new chef, we are looking forward to coming back!

Girls at hostess stand were visibly talking about me and my friends as we were leaving , laughing and pointing for no reason . Food and service was amazing but don’t know if I will return .

Food was outstanding. We had reservations for 12 wasn't seated untill 1:15. Piano playing was way to load and we were seated close and couldn't hear each other. Food was great though. Will not go back. Complained about the piano and then she gave us dirty looks. Will not be back. Too noisy

Normally when I go to Mabella’s, the experience is really good, but tonight was very disappointing.

Normally the servers automatically offer to box your food or just take initiative and ask politely if you would like them to do it. This server instead asked, “Do you want to box your food or do you want me to do it?” It may seem minor, but combined with everything else, it came across as lazy and unprofessional.

I also mentioned that the fries had a weird aftertaste and tasted bad. Instead of offering another side or trying to correct the issue, the only response I received was that they were cooked in fresh grease. That was not the concern. The fries still tasted nasty, and no attempt was made to resolve it.

Another issue was the seating arrangement. The people seated next to me were extremely close — close enough that I could practically reach out and touch them. I understand restaurants get busy, but the seating felt uncomfortably cramped and took away from the dining experience.

Overall, the food felt like basic, overpriced steak with very mediocre service. Very disappointed with tonight’s experience.

Edit: Manager was nice about giving me a resolution once I spoke to her.

For Mother’s Day, Mabella’s offered Sunday service! I was so excited and booked immediately (weeks out). Somehow, I got my reservation time mixed up and arrived 1 1/2 late. 🤦🏽‍♀Even though they were short staffed and crazy busy, they offered to cook a take out meal instead! This made my day! Thanks for treating moms on what would have been your day off. I was truly blessed.

Recently went to Mabella’s for our first visit and it definitely lived up to its reputation. The drinks were perfect and the steak was cooked exactly as expected. Our server was friendly and her attentiveness was just what you would want. We will definitely be going back!

This restaurant is advertised as fine dining and the decor is just that, however the food was lackluster and very underwhelming. Had the mabella special and sangria. Mother had the lobster 2 ways and sister had the salmon. Everyone’s food was room temp when it hit the table. Lacking flavor and the drinks were no better. For the $130 price tag for my food drinks I’ll skip this restaurant next time.

We've eaten at Mabellas every other week and this one time was by far the worst! We ordered The Mabellas filet med and it was well done and hard to eat. The fried garlic didn't come with it and we ordered double brussel sprouts and only got 1 each. I had some kind of hard shell in my brussel sprouts that almost broke my tooth. This food is too expensive to make that many mistakes. I will continue to go downtown instead of Midland because this was just gross.

Had the bourbon marinated Ribeye with mashed potatoes and mushrooms. Pricey, but so worth it. One of the best steaks I've had in a while. My waiter, Trent, was also very attentive though the entire service. Will definitely make plans to come back.

Nice, cozy, great for upscale date night. We made reservations. We only waited about 3 minutes. Hosts and waiters were nice. The food was decent. We had steak, potatoes, and Brussel sprouts.
