We're lifelong Texans visiting Columbus for a second time and decided to try Monterrey Tex Mex despite our usual reluctance to try any Mexican restaurants out of state. This place is legit.We had a great meal and were very happy with the food, service, and prices. If Monterrey Tex Mex was located in Houston, I would absolutely add it to the rotation of my favorite Tex-Mex joints.

A surprisingly good, tucked away, restaurant. Very small intimate interior with a very freindly bartender/waitress. Very good complementary salsa, and everyone gets their own little dish of it!

Super solid fajitas with good salsa. It was also very quick and reasonably priced. My only small complaint was that the fajitas were quite salty. Although it was quite tasty, after the meal I found myself chugging water. This is not a deal breaker for me, and I would still eat here again!

I was so taken aback by how delicious my food was! I ordered the Tacos Mexicanos and they were sooooo good! True authentic Mexican food. My work crew enjoyed their dishes as well! I wouldn’t have ever thought to stop here based on location, but I’m very happy we decided to! Don’t count this place out ☺️
