I knocked a star off because I found plastic in my Grits and eggs were too raw. Otherwise, was able to enjoy everything else.

It was busy, long line(no complaint there. That's usuallythe case with CB). I wasn't too happy when a host let this guy walk up and put his name on the list when there was a line almost out the door. I brought it to his attention, and all he said was oh I didn't notice." Anyhoo, our food came out cold, and almost everything was bland. The only thing that tasted ok was my steak. Eggs, potato casserole, biscuits, pancakes, bacon, ham, sausage (all cold). The coffee was hot and tasty.

Actually I don’t elven give them 1star. Waited 25 min to be seated which was not a problem. Then we finally got seated.. 10 min later people sat next to us. The waitress came and took there order before us. Then waitress turned to us and took our order. So my daughter asked for meatloaf and he said there out of meatloaf and mashed potatoes, my other daughter asked for lemonade and they were out of lemonade. So we put our order in and the people who came after us got there drinks and bread before us. Even the customer that got served said you were here before us. Then the other table got served with mashed potatoes and lemonade. We were like I thought they were out of it.
We ended up walking out. Never ate at Cracker Barrel and wanted to love it but don’t think I will go back.
Took some time to get seated, a much longer time before a server came and got our drink order. Then waited close to 45 minutes to get our food. I had the new shrimp dish with no rice. My wife's food looked like it had been left under the warmer, food was dried out. Spoke with a manager during all of this and she did nothing to help the situation and did not come over to check on the food after it arrived!
This was unacceptable!

The absolute worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Waited over an hour for food, then had to wait 15 mins for silverware. People around us were getting up and getting their own napkins and silverware. Saw our server three times total.

After ordering breakfast for dinner (at 6:00 pm) and then receiving part of the entree we were told the kitchen was preparing the gravy for the biscuits and gravy that was part of each entree ordered. After waiting the waitress had to be "flagged" down and she casually asked if we needed anything. I asked for more coffee as what we had was empty and cold and reminded her we were still waiting on our gravy. She disappeared and eventually came back with coffee, however still no gravy. Meanwhile my sausage and biscuit and hash browns are now cold. A manager casually appears checking on diners in the restaurant and comes to the table, I tell him we are still waiting on part of our meal. He says "Oh yeah, about the gravy it will be at least an hour and a half before that's ready. Would you like brown gravy or pot roast gravy?" Now...clearly this man is not a biscuit and gravy eater...who would even offer that!
Just another disappointing experience at a local restaurant that will not last in this town with more management and wait staff.
If they were out of a menu item that early in the evening and you aren't preparing more then you should at least let your customers know before they order. Simple customer service etiquette can go a long way!!

Service was very good. The food was ok. I ordered eggs and country ham. The ham was a little dry for my liking. Biscuits were nice and fluffy.

What has happened to this place? The food used to be perfect, and the service was usually at least decent. We went there on a Thursday night. There were just a few other families in there, and a guy sitting alone. One server was taking care of the whole restaurant. It took ten minutes to get our drink order in. Then another ten to get our food order in. Our food was cold, as if it hadn't been in the microwave long enough. We had to ask numerous times for condiments. One of my sides wasn't brought out until we were almost done eating, and the served kept calling my granddaughter a they. I'm glad we paid with a gift card.

We're not a fan of the dinner menu changes. Dumplings were not seasoned. Steak fries are now coated. Macaroni and cheese was good but served cool, so were the beans. Was not asked to choose a bread. Had to ask for napkins because none were provided and drink refills even though 2 empty glasses were placed at edge of the table. They were not busy. I assume that our server was very new. I'll try breakfast at some point. I do enjoy their store.

Hadn't been to a crackle barrel in years. Made an attempt this morning. Waited 5 mins for someone to notice me at the hostess stand. When we were finally sat, we waited for 10 mins without any acknowledgement of our table. We decided to find another restaurant that wanted our business. CB was not busy or understaffed at the time either. I was surprised to see all the staff in the kitchen as we left. Guess there's a reason I haven't visited a location in so long.
