I've eaten here before. Was so excited to finally get back to this place. The young lady working the front WORKS!!!! I'm sad to say the food wasn't edible. The fish was super salty. Spent too much time and $$ not to be able to eat. Very disappointing.

Love this place. I hate to leave a semi bad review! Me and my family come here ALL the time for their fried swai, and we LOVE the alligator bites on occasion! So, alligator bites are 13.99, which used to only come with a box FILLED with alligator bites. Now, for some reason, all of the appetizers come with a side? So we get coleslaw, and it like the coleslaw is the main course!(as you will see in the attached photo)! It's like coleslaw and the sides are extra cheap, so they LOAD the box with the side, and give like 1/2 the alligator bites that typically come the order. I just feel that's a little janky trying to squeeze more of a profit. I mean, if i get a side of colesaw its pretty small, but they side of coleslaw for the appetizer is huge! You guys have great prices and great food, that is the reason why I come here because yall don't skim, don't become like everyone else! Customer satisfaction matters! Love you guys, but this threw me off!

Not a food complaint but more of a common sense observation. I tried to do a door dash order of a soft shell crab Po Boy, they must have been out so they cancelled the order. Wouldn't it have been smarter to call me and ask if I wanted something else? Business must be good to not want every sale possible.

The young male cashier was exceptionally and genuinely courteous and professional which is not typical of many younger employees. He was efficient with getting the specifics of my order and he accommodated my request for larger pieces of fish. He was very personable. The food was ready when he said it would be and it was all hot and fresh and quite delicious. It was reasonably priced and the entire experience was worth this being my regular fish spot. I have been going to JD's since it opened and it used to be really good but I don't know whether the cook has changed or what but the last time I ordered a few wks ago the Grouper was fried so dry and it did not taste like grouper. This order today was shrimp fried light and the broccoli was so mushy the worst ever and dry corn on the cob .My husband got under cooked french fries not crispy.Come on Get back to the way it use to be...Tasty and cooked to perfection!

We were wanting some good catfish and we're going through the Conyers area so we looked up Yelp reviews and decided to try this place out. I don't know where these other people that were leaving reviews were going, but it did not resemble at all the place that we walked into. As soon as we entered, it almost looked vacant with an overwhelming old fish smell, like they used to have tanks of fish that had been sitting there getting stale. There wasn't a soul in site eating there. The girl behind the counter looked at us like we were the enemy!We walked toward the counter, and she just glared at us. We smiled and asked a question, and she again just stared! Now I know we're not from this area but that's definitely not a way to get new business! Finally, we said we did not know what we were going to order and she handed us a paper To-Go menu. We took ,it said thank you and left! We will not be back, and we would never ever recommend this place! We definitely did not feel comfortable or welcome there. I would be careful visiting this place if I were you.
I absolutely love the food at this restaurant. It's always cooked fresh and to perfection. I typically get the shrimp and catfish combo and it's always delicious. I highly recommend.
