Great food! Service was a little detached/rushed. For example, the server mixed up our bills and asked us to pay while I still had food in my hands. Id just like a reminder if we need to get up or something instead of the rudeness.

No. They don’t even wear gloves and will make your food with their bare hands. Absolutely disgusting

It's literally the best chicken and waffles I ever had. Our server was cool, and the atmosphere was welcoming.

We came with a family of 9, and I ordered the French toast chicken and waffles. And it was delicious!!! Highly recommend this restaurant.

Went as a walk-in, drove over 100 miles to get there from where we were staying, I'm from South Carolina, and my fiancée wanted to eat there for breakfast. We should have made reservations, but we weren't thinking about it. Wish we had. The hostess didn't know an exact wait time First she told us 45 minutes, then once our 45 minutes were up, she told us we were number 15 in line, then she said we were number 24 in line. I drove out of the way to get breakfast here to get there and turn around 🙃

Take ownership!

We all know that sometimes things happen that are out of our control, but what really matters is how you, as a server, manager, or business, handle the situation and make it right.

We waited for over an hour after placing our order. That alone was frustrating, but I let it slide because I was catching up with a friend and the time passed quickly. What caught our attention was that people who were seated after us were already eating, and we still hadn’t seen our waitress. She hadn’t come by to check on us once. We had to go find her ourselves.

Once we explained what we were noticing, she left to “figure out what was going on.” Turns out our ticket was lost. Mistakes happen, fine, but at that point, I had to get my food to go because I had planned this meal before heading to my son’s basketball game.

We did get an apology, but it felt hollow. No real accountability or empathy. Then came the final sting: we were handed the full bill. We had to ask if any compensation would be offered, given the experience. She said she’d check with the manager.

While my friend went to the restroom, she overheard the waitress saying we wanted a discount because we “had to wait a little bit.” My friend corrected her: we waited 45 minutes for a table and then over an hour for our food. The manager finally came over and offered… $4.00 off.

As a business owner myself, this was appalling. If someone on my team makes a mistake, even if it's something out of their control, like unexpected major construction that caused them to be late for an appointment with our client, I’m the first to reach out before the client even has to say something. I apologize, show empathy, and offer a gesture to make it right, maybe a gas card or a free session. By the end of it, our clients feel heard, and they walk away knowing we value their time and trust.

Let’s practice treating people, and their time, with respect and not as just a number.

Unfortunately, after this being my second disappointing experience at Nana’s Chicken and Waffles (first in Conyers, now again in the new McDonough location), I won’t be bringing my family or friends to dine here again.

Hi Ms. Kelli,

I was really looking forward to trying Nana’s for Father’s Day, especially after hearing so many great things—and as a fan of yours from RHOA, I was excited to support your business!

My friend added us to the waitlist through the link on your website, which directed us to the Yelp app. It gave us an estimated seating time of 12:09 p.m., and we were added to the list around 11:15 a.m. As we arrived, we noticed we were still at number 17, and by 1:00 p.m., we were only at number 10. Eventually, we made it to number 2 around 1:30 p.m., but just as we were about to walk in, we were suddenly removed from the list.

When we spoke with the host, she informed us that guests are required to come inside and check in, or the system will remove them. Unfortunately, there was no mention of this on the website or app, so we had no idea. She was kind enough to place us back at the top of the list and estimated another 20–30 minute wait, but by then we had already waited nearly 3 hours.

While I can’t comment on the food yet, I do hope to come back and try it another time. That said, I’d suggest making the check-in requirement clearer on your site and app, so guests know what to expect. I really want to enjoy the full Nana’s experience—hopefully next time under better circumstances.

Wishing you continued success!

The yt server with blonde hair was really rude and unprofessional I didn’t like her nasty attitude! My food was good don’t get me wrong but the waiter was rushing my family to order she told me my meal was $34 and turnt into $65 because a little lobster was $34

So, so good! Quick service, though a bit loud inside. I opted for the Cajun shrimp n grits, and it was exceptional! I will try the chicken and red velvet waffle next time. Pricing note: I don't mind paying a fair price, but I balk at a mandatory 18% service fee for a single customer. I always pay minimum 20% tip directly to the server.

This is one of my favorite food places in Georgia! Nana's offers delicious food with usually acceptable service. I would recommend this wonderful food heaven for anyone who's a lover of chicken, waffles, and sweet relief.

This was my second attempt to try this restaurant on a Saturday morning. The first time they told us we would have a three hour wait, so we naturally decided to eat elsewhere. Luckily, this time we were able to be seated within 10 minutes or less of checking in with the hostess. Highly advise you to join the online waitlist. We got around 10:30 am this time.

It was busy inside the restaurant, it did take our server about 5 minutes to greet us after being seated and another 10 minutes for our ordered to be taken. If I had a complaint it would be that. Our service was excellent and the server did apologize for the wait time. He was nice and answered all the questions we had about the menu options.

The menu is pretty straightforward, we originally wanted the French toast thinking it was “French toast”, but upon speaking to the waiter we were informed it was an actual waffle so slightly misleading.

They have special waffles not listed on the menu,
We decided to try those and got the peach pecan waffle and the strawberry shortcake waffle.
They were both delicious and tasty. The
Peach pecan was out of this world! Real peaches, lots of pecans, and a drizzle that didn’t require additional syrup to be used.

The waffles were fluffy, and slightly crispy on the edges. The shortcake waffle had fresh strawberries and whipped cream and just as good.

Please add the those specials as a permanent item to the menu, because they are worth being included. This restaurant has mastered the technique to making great waffles.

We ordered chicken sausage as our side, it was good but a little overcooked but nothing to throw a fit about.

I believe it was the owner who stopped at our table and greeted us and asked us how the food was, I even noticed him picking up trash. Well kept establishment.

Overall I would definitely visit this restaurant and try other options that are available.

The tab was $64 for the meal and one OJ. Appears to be the going price everywhere you go in ATL. Nothing is “affordable anymore”.

Great place to get reliably delicious food.

Getting Seated
You can check in and request a spot to sit via yelp. It is not a guaranteed reservation but it helps to get you in quicker. They do allow for group reservations. They won’t seat you unless your whole party is present. We walked up without a reservation and were informed of a 20 min wait. We received our text about 35 mins later.

Atmosphere
The space is small but tables are far enough apart I didn’t feel too close to others. It was very cold and I had wished I had a sweater lol. This was in early November. It’s a cute place to sit and eat with friends but it’s not nice enough that I’d have an event there or celebrate. The atmosphere actually makes me think it would have been just as well to order out and enjoy somewhere else or at home.

Service
Servers were very friendly. I have no complaints there. They were attentive and followed up. The menu is digital and after you pay your ticket you have to leave. You can’t idol.

Food
Delicious! The food is really good. Both times I’ve come I was pleased. I tried the pecan French toast and the peach cobbler. The serving sizes were decent. Not large but not disrespectfully small. The waffle and French toast plates come with 3 sort of small chicken wings which are good. Got refillable coffee. I’ve not tried any alcoholic beverages.

Prices
For two people both times we spent about $60. Close to $80 after tips and all that

Overall great place for breakfast/brunch. The food is really good and the people are nice.

Parking: Parking space is shared with other businesses in a sort of shopping plaza. It’s tight but there’s plenty of parking in front of and around the building.
