We weren't allowed to put a chair on the end of the table for a party of 5. The banana pudding chicken and waffles were absolutely amazing. Tasted like a bowl of banana pudding. The cinnamon roll waffle was incredible, the lemon was perfect, just the right amount of bitterness and sweetness. The bananas foster was good. The oreo waffles were sweet just like the personality of this place. The chicken is cooked near perfectly, the seasoning was amazing, not too salty. Friendly service with a smile. Always packed so get here early!

So I did not appreciate the Chicken & Waffles with the whole chicken wing being prepared with the šŸ§‡! What do you do with a whole chicken wing? ...you have to pick it in order to remove the bone to eat with the waffle. It is not about anything other than the bite, you can drizzle it all you want. Prepare chicken strips or a good lightly breaded chunk of chicken so the chicken can be forked with the waffle. Just my 2 cent!

The food at this place was amazing! After numerous failed attempts, I finally got to dine here. The atmosphere was great, and the food was delicious, earning a 9/10 rating from me. My only gripe was the additional charges for things like sauce and refills, which I believe should be complimentary. I witnessed a customer next to me request and decline barbeque sauce due to a 75 cent charge, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the music selection added a great vibe to the experience. I treated my aunt to breakfast, and we had a wonderful time thanks to the very nice and helpful staff.

The food at Nana’s Chicken and Waffles was really good —flavorful, fresh, and definitely worth trying if you’re craving Southern comfort food. Unfortunately, the service really brought down the experience. Our server was passive aggressive and made the atmosphere uncomfortable, which took away from what could have been a great meal. I’d recommend it for the food, but I hope management addresses the service issues because it makes it hard to want to come back.

The food is sub- par (barely) at best, and if you don’t particularly like a food item, you can’t have it removed from your bill. Also, they don’t have a liquor license, so please don’t expect any alcoholic beverages with your meal. The food quality has DEFINITELY declined since they’ve opened. Will not be returning!!

On a positive note, the customer service was pretty good, and the food didn’t take long. I’m No Kieth Lee by any stretch of the imagination, but I’m sure he would be disappointed.

The beignets were DELICIOUS that was all. Wish I ordered more. The food was not good to us at all. My kids liked their chicken and waffles but they could really enjoy majority of anything. I ordered chicken and waffles to share. The waffles came TOO soft which was okay for people who like soft waffles. The chicken was good but dry. For my entree I ordered the catfish with cheesy eggs and potatoes. It was not like regular deep fried crispy catfish. It was soaked in grease and was fried without batter — same for the whole plate just sitting in grease. Lacked seasoning and I was so hungry I finished it but will never eat there again. VERY OVERPRICED AND OVER HYPED. I’m from KC where we have a few soul food places and been to a lot of places this was the worse one we tried in ATL. Plus I wanted some grits and he said ā€œyou should try it before you get it so I’ll bring you a sampleā€ THAT WAS NOT GRITS AT ALL. Whew I was shocked like who cooked that.

Food is great! I got shrimp and grits and they were very flavorful and shrimp was cooked perfectly. Service was okay... Waitress was super sweet, but it took forever for everything. The space is super small, there's no inside waiting area, and everywhere we were just felt like we were in the way. We have been back though so that should tell you something!

My favorite place for a Banana Foster waffle! It hits EVERYTIME!!!šŸ˜‹ The chicken is always fresh and seasoned to perfection! The strawberry waffle was also yummy however, I was not a fan of their cinnamon waffle but I didn't order that so they still get 5 stars!!! 😁

Perfect chicken, perfect waffle.
I got the peach cobbler chicken and waffle, and it was perfect. Great service, friendly waitress and excellent food.

I visited Nana’s Chicken & Waffles yesterday and ordered the strawberry cheesecake waffle, which normally comes with chicken. Since I didn't want chicken, I asked for turkey bacon instead. I assumed it would be an even exchange, especially since a side of chicken wings is $8 and turkey bacon is $6 — logically, it made sense.

When the bill came, I was surprised to see I’d been charged extra for the turkey bacon. When I asked about it, the server simply said, ā€œOh, we don’t do substitutes.ā€

Here’s where the issue comes in: if there’s a no-substitution policy, it should be clearly explained upfront. As a guest, I shouldn’t be surprised at the register. A simple explanation like, ā€œSince you’re not taking chicken, I’ll need to charge for the turkey bacon as an add-onā€ would have avoided any confusion and frustration.

The food itself was good, but this lack of communication and an inflexible policy left a bad taste in my mouth. I shouldn’t feel penalized for swapping one protein for another — especially when the alternative costs less

Arrived at 8:30am to the doors locked but there were workers inside. Hours of operation are listed online and on the front doors 8am-4pm. No one came to the door or answered when we called. I understand things happen but it was rude to not have a sign on the door or at least answer the phone/come to the door and let us know there was a delay in opening. Disappointed and won't be back.

My husband brought me here for a morning breakfast on my birthday. We arrived after 9am only to discover they were closed! Remind you their hours state 8am-4pm. Another patron told us they were closed and would be opening soon, so we decided to get coffee hoping they’d be open when we returned. With excitement, they were open! The host was very pleasant and sat us with our coffee drinks in hand. We placed drink order for cranberry juice and with anticipation we waited patiently for our orders to be taken. Our waitress (who may have been training) comes over with another waitress and immediately without introduction she says you can’t have outside drinks! My husband and I were both appalled due to the fact that it took them two hours to open the restaurant. As a former business owner I do understand rules of an establishment however there are times when exceptions are made. Today was one of those days! You guys were behind two hours!!! How do you get disgruntled about a cup of coffee! Yet we’re supposed to be okay and supportive when you don’t open the doors until two hours after scheduled opening?! Come on! For that reason we won’t return!! For the host/waitress in training thank you for your pleasant smile and politeness! For the woman training you, you should smile more, work on your situational flexibility skills and find a yes for your regular customers.

Great food and customer service. However, don't care for the sitting arrangements, it's to tight, not cozy, not enough booth sitting and it fills like you are sitting and eating with other customers. However, I love the food, but will have to get my food to go, wish they would change the sitting arrangements so customers will have some type of privacy and not sitting so closely.
