Unfortunately, this restaurant has closed due to a terminated rental agreement. Their pizza and hamburgers were delightfull. One of our go-toplaces. I understand they have relocated to some location in Covington, but I have not been able to locate them YET.

I am so disappointed. I loved this place for such a long time. I got a small gyro salad with gyro meat on the side, add extra meat. When I got home, I discovered the meat was extremely dry and hard/crispy. It was also cut really thin. The portion also did not seem like I received extra meat. The salad itself was ok- toppings were good. The gyro meat tasted different and so did the house dressing. I couldnt finish the meat because it was so crispy/burnt. For almost $15, my expectations were set higher than the standard I received.

This use to be my absolute favorite restaurant growing up and I have tried to give it a few tries since they changed ownership hoping it would improve and it’s just been disappointing more and more each time. Tonight we were 1 of 4 tables and after not having a refill for over 10 mins the girl just sat the pitcher on the table for us to fill our drinks ourselves. I could understand the need for it if they are short staffed and really busy but it wasn’t. Food wasn’t stellar either like it use to be. Fried potatoes seems old and poorly cooked.

Since the ownership change we have tried repeatedly to give Tavas "one more chance" to carry on the the excellence that the previous owners were known for. We make an effort to support local mom and pop businesses. Tonight, however, continued the downard spiral of Tavas to the point we give up. Too long of a wait upon entering to be recognized and taken to a table. We were the only customers waiting. When our food arrived we made our first of three requests for extra napkins. After 3 requests we received 2 napkins. The chicken wrap had very little chicken. We mentioned it when we paid and were told "oh our order is late so we are making do with what we have." Apparently telling customers we are out of chicken or being really creative and going out and buying more was not a part of the thought process. We are done.

I had really high hopes for this place. There's good reviews here and there and I like supporting local restaurants. However, upon the first bite of my food I knew it was a mistake. I ordered a little bit of everything, and every single thing was horrible I couldn't even eat it. Even the simplest of items, spaghetti and marinara sauce were so bad my body would not physically allow me to chew anymore. The cashiers/servers are rude if you question/complain about service and quality. The restaurant clearly used to be in its prime but is run down now. Eating here actually made me depressed because I could not enjoy anything. PLEASE go elsewhere and don't waste precious time and money here. The gas station down the road has better service and fresher food than here.

Stopped by with my picky family on a whim because we were hungry and in the area. Unsure of the place, my husband went in to get a menu to see if all my kids would find something they would eat. They had pizza, gyros, pasta, appetizers, a whole page of salads...the variety was decent and the prices were comparable/reasonable. We went in and were immediately greeted and seated. Our server, Maddison, went above and beyond what was expected. Unsure of the menu- we asked about the different dishes and she was so informational that each one of us had the perfect choice. My husband had a burger and it was so good that it seemed like he devoured it as if he hadn't eaten ever before. My son's had pizza's and the gooey cheese factor was awesome...I asked what the cheesiest most decadent dish was and she recommended the Manicotti with Alfredo instead of Marinara....it was like she knew me! I much prefer the white sauces...so I ordereed it but with extra mushrooms and cheese and let me tell you- it was the ultimate comfort food in the first bite. but to be honest- even though the food was totally amazing- it was the server's personality, knowledge and extra care that she gave our table that will have me singing this establishment's praises. We have a son who is autistic- he can ask a lot of questions or he can be completey silent. For some reason- he liked her and tried talking to her and kept saying how nice she was. When we left, he wanted to be the one to tip her and tell her thank you for her service. When we got in the car he said, "I really liked the server- she was so sweet. .She was in the top 3 sweetest people I know, next to you and Ms Rochelle (a neighbor)... This is extremely high praise, 2 years ago- he was non verbal and didn't communicate. The special care she took with our family made a huge impression on him. And that- made a huge impression on me...Kid-friendliness: kid menu- kid friendly employees-Wheelchair accessibility: Handicapped parking with a ramp right in front of the restaurant.

The food and service: excellent!Restaurant could use a little improvement on the atmosphere.Perhaps a little mediterranean music might keep the spirit alive. The interior decor was a bit rugged and grimey (worn furnishings)..But nonetheless, this place has lots of potential and the food and service are already excellent.

Wow, I am so sad about the food we had for dinner tonight at Tavas. The fried potatoes were TERRIBLE, so bad that I asked them to be taken off our tab. The gyro meat was DRY and crispy (??!!) idk what was going on in the kitchen tonight but the kids chicken fingers and fries were the best thing on the table…and they came from the freezer. The red flag ? should have been the empty dining room at 5:30. Tavas used to be so good, I’m sad.

Oh my gosh, Greek and pizza! We really enjoyed our meal. Repeat visits are definitely in our future! Can't wait to bring friends here! Great job to all employees!!

Great pizza! Loved having so many size options. There's even a personal size, so everyone at the table xan get exactly what they want.

Lisa Acero

The pizza is the best item although fresh pizza sauce would make a world of difference. The fettuccine alfredo tasted like sauce from a jar so freshly made alfredo and marinara would overall improve the food

This restaurant had great food for an excellent value! It was definitely a family atmosphere. We had many different items from the menu, and none of them were a disappointment. I recommend giving Tavas a try as we will be going back for more. Don't miss out on this gem!Kid-friendliness: The serving staff was very patient. While my family was waiting for our food, they brought out actual coloring books for the kids. My children were totally satisfied with their meals.
