Mixed feelings about the food and service for the group. It is my go to place when I have visitors so I felt bad.

Went here on a Sunday for my bday. They were doing karaoke & trivia. Really enjoyed the vibe ! (And the free appetizer coupons I won from trivia 😉) Food was hot & tasty.

Very overrated , 30% Gratuity is ridiculous. Space was incredibly small. Definitely not a fine dining experience, but they have fine dining prices on mediocre food. Not to mention minuscule portions. Wouldn't recommend or return.

It was karaoke night we when, so the vibe was fun. That said, because people were waiting to sing or enjoying others sing, they stayed too long at their tables making other people who had reservations wait for a table. Overall the food was pretty good. We enjoyed the gumbo, Gullah wings, fried oysters, smothered pork chop, and the stuffed flounder was delicious. Hands down the best thing on the menu. However, don't get the seafood pasta! There was no cream in the cream sauce and no crab meat either, and the pasta is spaghetti noodles with Old Bay seasoning!Drew the food manager was very gracious when they ran out of items and had to replace them and when I complained about the lacking pasta. Oh the bread pudding is decent, but the chocolate cake tasted like chocolate flour as most bought chocolate cakes do. All in all the atmosphere was nice. It's in a great location, and I would go back again.

Had lunch at Virgil Country Kitchen on a weekday and really enjoyed it! The food was delicious, and the service was excellent, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It wasn't crowded, which made for a relaxed and comfortable dining experience. I'd definitely go back!

Great location, food was served hot and fresh. Service was a bit slow yet the wait staff was professional and very polite.

Food was good. They need more staff. I didn't like how manager chastised bartender/waiter in front of guess as he was stretched to the max serving everyone. As a former server and bartender, I would like to applaud the young man cause he was very attentive considering he was the only server working. But food was very good and drinks were good. The ambiance was nice. I would highly recommend.

We did not get to dine. I made a reservation for 5pm. We were on time and the hostess stated it would be an additional 45 minutes wait. I asked what was the point of making a reservation and still having that long of a wait? She stated the system allowed people to keep making reservations and everyone showed up at the same time. We left and went 2 doors down to The Celtic and was seated immediately, ordered, and ate. While sitting there we noticed other people from Virgil Gullah's come in and sit and eat. A better system has to be in place if a reservation is made.

I came in on Mother's Day with my mom who happens to be disabled so she is not able to stand for a long time. I did ask to speak to a manager because I booked a reservation online and was told it was gonna be a 45 minutes wait. I asked to speak to the manager who completely understood and definitely more than made up for the Elmo's bad experience. They were able to find us a bar seat. We were treated very nicely. We were able to try the amazing food and I must say it was amazing. The salmon bites. Top-tier must try.

We made a reservation and it was not honored at that specific time. When we arrived, they told us it would be a wait that turned into almost 2 hours. What is the point of making a reservation? Also, they need to stop making their restaurants so small with only 6-8 tables. It's ridiculous and causing excessive wait times. The food was good but we waited so long that when the food did come, I was no longer hungry—took it to go.

Long wait for food and drinks despite fairly empty restaurant on a Friday night. The kitchen prioritized to go orders instead of in-restaurant. The counter with pick up orders turned over quickly while we waited an hour for our food. This would have been acceptable if the food was worth the wait. The gumbo was salty, the roux almost burnt. A few shrimp and mushy mussels were the only seafood in the okra sausage gumbo. No sausage in site. My husband's seafood platter was dry and flavorless. The crab rice didn't have even a flake of crab in it. Very disappointed. The appetizer corn muffins and chicken wings were good though.

I stopped in based off TikTok and Insta Reels. So glad I did. I had a blast. The vibe was everything. Miko was my server and she was so interactive. She made recommendations. I listened. I enjoyed. This was my first time but definitely not my last.

The service was good, the food didn't stand out to me, but overall If you know you enjoy that type of food then you should give it a try.

Food was amazing. Took a group to the restaurant and had the most amazing time. Will, most definitely, return. Highly recommend!

Virgil's Gullah Kitchen & Bar - Conyers was a fantastic surprise! My family and I were celebrating my son's birthday and the food was delicious! I had to fight my granddaughter for the last bussin corn muffin. The sammen balls were awesome and I didn't even get a fried green tomato. And those were the appetizers! I definitely recommend the fish and grits w/gravy. Everyone was so nice and Tee was a phenomenal server. I told her I was coming back without my family and I live in Athens. Don't sleep on Virgil's. Get there early. You won't be disappointed.
