We happened to be staying in Cordele on our way to spring break. The family wanted Mexican and a random Google search brought up several options. We settled on Ponchos, even though it was a little bit further away than the others. That was the best decision we could have made! The staff was kind and incredibly hard working. And the atmosphere was so fun. You can tell this restaurant is loved by the locals and rightfully so. The food was so good! Everyone in the family found something they loved. Even my picky eater was happy because he could get a burger, fries, and one taco. We will definitely remember Ponchos if we happen to be coming through this area again.

Horrible..we have eaten at this place several times with no problem and the food was good..we got there waited about 10 to 15 minutes for a table..no problem..we ordered teas and dips. FINALLY..our waiter showed back up to take our orders and 1 1/2 hours later we still haven't received our food..people came in after us..ordered got their food, ate and left and we are still sitting there waiting..so after a little over 2 hours later I told some guy standing in front of us with his arms folded doing nothing that we wanted our tickets so we could go..and it wasn't until I said that the waiter FINALLY reappeared and told us our food would be right out..I told I didn't care what they did with the food but we didn't want it..so we paid for our drinks and dips and left..we were also told the kitchen was busy working on take out orders and catering to some party and that is why it was taking so long..WELL if the kitchen wasn't gonna be able to prepare other customers food orders then the restaurant should have closed and placed a sign on door stating take out orders only..I call what happened to us and others at this restaurant on Friday night March 8th 2024 a total lack of management skills..because we weren't the only ones waiting 2 hours or more to get our food..there was another table of people that went in before us still waiting on their food and they were getting mad as well..in fact, after I paid for my share of drinks and dips and waited for my sons to pay their part, I heard a couple of people at that table say they should do the same thing we did..I don't know if they did or not..the owner/manager must be greedy as hell to allow customers to be treated like this..needless to say..I won't be going back there..sorry, sorry, sorry service and management..

I would like to first say that we have eaten here multiple times, and the food has ALWAYS BEEN amazing. In fact, I've had this dish before, and it was good. This review is for the way I was treated. I received my meal and when I ate it, everything had a charred /burnt taste. Again, I've had it before, and there was not an overwhelming burnt taste. I was unable to eat my meal. When I told the server, she contacted the kitchen. Someone came out and very matter of fact told me that the name was "burnt cheese". Thinking I had misread the menu, I got a menu. No where in the description states that the food is burnt. Upon a Google search, the name translates to burnt cheese. Since I am not bilingual, there would be no way for me to know this. Along with the fact that I have had this before, and it didn't taste like that. I asked to speak with the manager, and he completely wrote it off, telling me it stated it was on a skillet. I didn't try to argue as it was obvious that he wasnt going to try and nake it right, I knew it was on a skillet and served sizzling. I've had it before, and it didn't taste like this. I could not eat my meal. It is very disappointing that a place that we've eaten at on numerous occasions would write it off like this. I was not trying to get out of paying for my meal. However, I did end up leaving, having only had cheese dip and salsa for supper and a bill of over $50 for 2 people.

The food was so, so good. We were seated fast, even though we got there at a busy time. The waiter was friendly and attentive. There was quick turnaround on our order, and the food was delicious. The steak in my burrito was tender and flavourful. We will definitely be back.
