Dropped in on the way to a customer meeting and had a fantastic lunch and chat with the business owners. Food was awesome, service was fantastic and chat was friendly and entertaining. Excellent spot to eat and shop at, I'm just sad it is not a little closer to where I live.

What a fantastic little pastry shop! Everything is fresh and handmade, beautiful presentation and DELICIOUS! I had the FWS club with Brie and Parma ham and fig, it was seriously the best sandwich I’ve had in ages! Perfectly balanced, not too sweet, not too salty, on perfectly chewy bread! We took home some quiche and a Cornish pastry and a steak and ale pie! I can’t wait to get home to have them for dinner! Will definitely be back on our next trip to GA! Good luck!
While heading North to hike for the day, my wife and I stopped in Cornelia and found this quaint and welcoming cafe downtown. The owner couldn’t have been kinder and had a great sense of humor. He was all alone working during the lunch rush, but we patiently waited 25 minutes for our meal.
It was absolutely fresh, delicious, and I couldn’t recommend the food more, BUT I have to take it down a star because of two overcharges on the bill. The meat and potato pie on the menu said it comes with a side salad. It’s a very small garnish of a salad, but I was charged $2.50 extra for it. That was nowhere mentioned and I certainly would have passed on it. $15 was a little steep then, in my opinion, and not the posted price. All of the danishes were listed at $6.50, and we were charged $7.50 for ours. It was good, but definitely not worth it. I’m not going to go broke over an extra $3.50 (and I still left 20% because the owner was so nice and all alone), but the deception of the overcharging left a bad taste after a nice experience. I’d still return, but will be more aware the next time.

I’m new to the area and I’m SO glad I stumbled upon this place! The people are so friendly and helpful, explaining some of the pastries I hadn’t seen before. Everything was spectacularly delicious. We had the Cornish pasty (with a special imported dipping sauce), the sandwich special (Parma ham, fig preserves and Brie), and the lemon/fruit danish. It’s a taste of heaven.

High quality. Artisan to the core. Not a sugar fix shop. Colin is an experienced and creative old school pro who has a passion for quality ingredients, taste and European finesse
If you do not try this gem, you haven"t a clue what you are missing.

We are loving the FWS Bakery. They use quality ingredients. They don’t use dyes and loads of sugar like most American bakeries. The couple that own it are so friendly and kind with my two sweet girls. We tried the asparagus soup and it was fantastic!! My girls loved the cinnamon swirls and croissants. It’s surprising to find such a lovely place in a smaller town.

So glad I came across this place yesterday. Owner was super friendly and pleasant. Quiche was the best I have had in ages and his blackberry / cream cheese danish was delicious. Was so happy.. I bought a bunch of yummies to take home.. just wish they were closer to my home.

Read all the other reviews, ditto. Everything you want in a bakery/lunch bakery.
I would be a regular if I didn't live elsewhere. Drive off the interstate to a real americana, a real gem in the hinterland.
