Tried the bbq pork plate. Was ok tasting, but sauce wasn't very good to me. Table ketchup bottles were terrible tasting and I think they use it in the sauce. The amount of items they have inside and outside are worth seeing to try out the food. My granddaughter fried chicken filet sandwich had a patty about the size of sausage patty. Don't ask too many questions when ordering either. Bread is community shared from the loaf bag so beware of who share with.
Always stop in when I’m in town to hunt. Love the building, the atmosphere, the antiques, the yard, the lake, the people are GREAT and the bbq is always great. Go have a meal and eat by the fireplace!!
I have not been getting good BBQ around home in last year! I went to Halcombs BBQ in white plains Friday, it was closed at 5pm. Said it was open on google, I tried to call greensboro Halcombs, but no one answered I tried more than a couple times. I gave up and Knew I had passed Heavy'sBBQ just off I-20 on my way to Halcombs, so I had not eaten there in almost 20 years, I am glad I did it was good as Halcombs and closer to my house only 23 miles. I will definately go back....
