The Oakwood BBQ restaurant in Sharon, GA is clean and spotless. The staff are nice, friendly and exceptionally nice. The food is good BBQ, ribs, chicken and the Oakwood Sample Plate with 3 meats and 2 sides. The Brunswick stew is perfect and truly outstanding, and the stew was wow. The banana pudding is just as good as the BBQ. The cole slaw was made from scratch. The potato salad, beans and fresh homemade sides are also good. The sauces, hot and mild, are equally fantastic. The place is plenty of space to eat inside, a drive thru window and plenty of parking. Prices are in line with the Washington food market. The owners are the nicest people and the service is family making. Visitors note the meat is moist, not drowned in sauce, no grisly mess and no vinegar taste. Some call the BBQ the best they have ever had. It is worth the drive.
