Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

We had not been to Cracker Barrel in Cumming GA in a long time. We drove from Dawsonville in hopes of having an early good dinner. We shared the 2 piece fried catfish dinner with 3 sides. The catfish was the only hot item on the plate. For the sides the fried okra, the fries and turnip greens were all bad. The bread was cold and sent out with frozen butter that you couldn’t spread. The fries looked like they were days old and you could not eat them. We did not complain to the young waitress as we know it was not her fault. The waitress was very prompt and polite. The Restaurant was not busy so I guess we know why. There did not appear to be any management checking with customers. Will not be going back or referring to anyone.

We had a large crowd that took up two long tables. The staff was able to keep up with everyone's requests and the food was great.

Young waitress was kind & pleasant, and brought us the requested items, but she was training another associate & it wasn't apparent that she was qualified to train. She may have simply had too many tables to cover, but I waited 5 minutes for a tea refill I was hoping to drink prior to leaving. She didn't look our way or make eye contact. I walked towards the server entrance to request my tea & made contact with a guest at another table who had noticed I wasn't being served in a timely manner. The refill came too late to drink, so I took a couple sips of it & just took the to-go tea with me, leaving the amost- full refill behind.

Sucha a nice place to enjoy a good time with family. Eating good food, with a great service.

My expectations were not very high as usual. And as usual, they failed to meet them. It is bad when I set the bar on the floor and they still trip over it with such poor service.
The to go waitstaff needs to be retrained, and customers need to be acknowledged in a quick and timely manner.

Food, served well below room temp. Almost no chicken in the the chicken and dumplins. Will not br back to this location!

We visited this store on 8/23 for lunch. I used a promotional card to help pay for the lunch. I presented the card to the cashier as she was ringing me up. It took a three times to get in the system. Each time she did, the credit card machine ask for the tip amount. And three times I put the amount, a percentage in. I should have check my recipt before I left the store. Two out three attempts got charged to my card. Server got a great tip that day. But they were not suppose to. Just another cashier that cannot run the cash register.
