Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

We use to eat there often. This time was awful. They told us corporate made all the stores change the way food is prepared. Use to have the best biscuits. Now they are the worse I’ve ever had. We will not be back.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to Cracker Barrel. Probably more than 5 years. Moved recently to the area and was meeting friends for lunch here. It was busy even for a Tuesday. Though it was the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. We were a party of 7 and at 12pm, we waited less than 5 minutes. They didn’t make us wait for our entire party to show up. Our server was polite, attentive and visited our table just enough. I love they serve breakfast all day as breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, even though I don’t eat it often. We started off with biscuits which were amazing! Some of the best biscuits I’ve had in a long time. With butter and preserves. For my entree I ordered mama’s French toast sampler breakfast and it was delicious. Hash brown skillet was delicious and the French toast was perfect. Food came out quickly and service was great. I will definitely be back.

The food for packaged holiday was average. The pickup process was crazy. No pies for anyone on Thanksgiving.

This is for the store only, I bought some gifts here bc I thought they were returnable with receipt. I HAD my receipt and the agent said they would not give me what I paid for the item even in store credit bc it was just over 60 days. Just be WARNED if you buy things for Christmas or something for people that you don’t see very often, even if you have your receipt they will not honor it.

We enjoy their breakfast. Pleasant atmosphere, good service, and lots of choices on the menu, so a place to enjoy weekly.

I pick up the apple pie and customer service was very nice.

My husband was out of town so I ordered the take out Thanksgiving dinner for myself. The pickup line was long and getting through the parking lot was difficult to navigate. When I arrived home, I opened the bag to see a plate with VERY small serving sizes. One small spoonful of bread dressing, another small spoonful of sweet potato, a nice serving size of green beans, two small slices of turkey and a drizzle of gravy. I seldom eat my entire meal when I physically go to Cracker Barrel but this dinner was quite small for the price. I was left unsatisfied. Lesson learned.

Thanksgiving rush couldn't beat them down! We got here at 03:30 on Thanksgiving and the place was packed. People were pressed against each other into every corner, wait times were 70min+
That didn't stop this crew. Everyone had a job and they stuck to it. Our waitress was super friendly and was handling all 4 of her her tables of 6+ parties and then our party of 3 with only a little bit of stress showing... Food was excellent, got served hot and it didn't take long. She was quick to refill drinks before they got empty too. Once we were leaving, the cleaning staff swooped in and had the table cleared and wiped down before we could get past the three tables between us and the walkway.
10/10 if all these employees at this restaurant aren't getting holiday pay or anything extra for today then Cracker Barrel, you should be ashamed of yourselves and you don't deserve these employees.

To go food was fine after going back in and getting a key missing item for a one person plate order. Still no to go silverware provided. Friendly, but way too much time spent on pleasantries way too much, and trying to help people buy stuff instead of doing the job of checking to go orders. I’d rather someone just be competent just one of the 3 people who helped me.

I ordered the Thanksgiving meal for three which comes with pumpkin pie, and when I got there to pick up my order they'd said the pumpkin pie was only available for a limited time and while supplies last. That is not what the menu online said it was very clear that pumpkin pie was included with the $15.99 price. Check out the photo and tell me what you think. Would you be expecting pumpkin pie? Do you see where it says while supplies last? No you don't because it doesn't say that! So in the future should you want to order their Thanksgiving meal You might want to double check to make sure you'll be getting dessert for your family and friends that you ordered for versus having nothing but an excuse from cracker barrel because they didn't order ahead properly!
UPDATE 2024: I sat in line for pickup for 30 minutes waiting for my order "Thanksgiving meal for 4-6 people".
Got home and all I got was bread. Had to go back and sit in line for another 1.5 hours" . They need to get their act together! Ugh!!
