Solid venue. Nice atmosphere. Lovely interior. A bit loud on live music night, but that goes with the territory. (4/5)Service was fine. Wait Staff was friendly and helpful (4/5)Wings: Typical bar food. Was fine. Nice, spicy, meaty wings. (3.5/5)Flat Top Burger: Good flavor combo. Nice size. Easy to eat. Very pleasant (4.5/5)Fries: Crispy/crunchy on the outside, hot and soft on the inside. No complaints (5/5)Barley Risotto: Very salty. The texture of the barley just didn't lend itself too well with the concept of risotto in my opinion. Risotto should be al dente, and smooth and creamy. The barely, had "too much texture". Almost was crunchy. The dish just didnt work for me (1/5)Overall, a fun, casual bar with friendly service. Get some tasty bar food, a few drinks, and play some trivia or listen to some fun live music.Would recommend.

We were there for wine down Wednesday. The server and manager were really nice, but the server kept forgetting about us. They weren't busy at all, maybe 3 other tables in the whole place... server advised us we could only order one app at half price even though their advertisement didn't state that. The wine was good with a healthy amount in each glass. It started to get busy as we were leaving. A little bit of an older crowd. Love the idea of this place. The tacos I got were great. I thought it was a little odd to have two tacos as an app instead of listed under the meals with sides. I think the prices on some of their apps and sandwiches are a bit much... even given the inflation we are having. Once we were able to find our server and get our check, the bill was wrong for the wine down Wednesday specials. We were able to get that fixed quickly. All in all it was just ok... I think they are still figuring it out. This is our 3rd time going since it's opening

We enjoyed our giant pretzel appetizer and two drinks. The service was quick and we loved the local Ellijay cider and German beer Schwarzbier. We had a great time and would go again. Give it a try! We had a great experience.

My new favourite place! Do not let the bad reviews deter you from coming to try this place out! (Most of them didn't read the menu properly it have bland taste buds) The food was incredible! And if you've ever ready other reviews, you know I'm super picky ! I'm a Canadian expat so I had to come try the poutine. They put their own spin on it with the gravy but it was so incredibly tasty! All 4 of us, (2 kids), loved it ! And that says a lot ofy picky eater loved it. I also got the dry rub wings, holy smokes, the rub is to die for ! (It might actually be the same stuff they put in the gravy for the poutine.) My husband had the tacos & kiddos Mac n cheese, all so do good. Portions were pretty big, we didn't leave hungry & actually brought some home. Upstairs is a little bland, but downstairs & outside is were the cool vibe is! They are building the brewery next door & a doggy play area. When this is up & running it's going to be even better than it already is ! Finally a place my husband & I can enjoy, bring the kids & the fur baby ! I can't wait! A must try !

The TLDR, this place is great, with incredible food, great beers and a fun vibe. But there's a lot more. This is my first time here at Hall and Hound. I was initially cautious, based on other reviews, however it was quickly evident that there was no need to fear. There is a lot going on here, and my first observation is that they are selling themselves short. To help with that I'm going to cover a few areas that I discovered.First and foremost, they should call this a gastro pub, because the food is far superior to general pub food. I've been to pubs in London and Dublin, New York, San Francisco, Dallas, Houston, Nashville, Tokyo. It's generally all the same, the food here was exceptional, Tacos, Mac and cheese, Wings, even the Poutine ( my wife is Canadian and gave it 10 stars), it may all be pub inspired but it was exceptional.Next, the place is not finished, and that was my big surprise. The brewery isn't even open yet! That will be on the other side of the parking lot. So they are serving great beers, but not even their own yet! Things can only get better! You also need to be aware that they have a few sections, upstairs is a more traditional restaurant, downstairs is a more bar and brewery themed area, and it's very cool. Outside of the downstairs is dog friendly but still full service restaurant. It has a really good vibe with fire places and plenty of room. Also downstairs on weekends is live music! We just missed it this visit and I'm kind of jealous. Can't wait to go back for that. Finally, for the dog lovers, when the brewery opens across the parking lot, I was told it will feature a full dog park.It sounds like this facility will have a number of options for everyone, whether you are there for beers, food, hanging with your dogs and or kids, without cramming everyone into one general purpose space! I can't wait. Thanks for reading!Oh, PS, the only reason I rated service as 4 instead of 5, is they currently have service personal running up and down serving two levels. It's not optimal, as your server can get caught up downstairs. I imagine this will be more dedicated as they gain momentum.

A less than stellar experience. We walked away feeling sick that we paid as much as we did for the quality of the food and the service we received. My husband and I got Buffalo chicken wraps. My husband got his w/ no lettuce or tomato & when his food came out it was literally a child size portion for the wrap. Mine was a little better - the flavor was good. One of our daughters got a kids meal w/ chicken tenders & Mac-n-cheese, which was an understandable up charge of $2 but, the chicken tenders were almost like chicken tenders cut in halves, they were TINY (pictured) Our 6 year old got a kids pizza - on the kids menu (pictured) some of the food items are on the right in a box listed w/ sides, pizza and macaroni and cheese are to the left. Options were fries, tots, salad and one other item (not Mac n cheese) we asked for a salad w/ the pizza as the side. When we got our check, they had charged us $7 for the side salad - the waiter did not inform us that sides were not included w/ the pizza. It was not stated that it, nor the Mac n cheese came w/ sides so of course I selected a side. I guess it was supposed to be assumed b/c it was not in the boxed in area w/ the other children’s menu items. $14 for a meal for a 6 year old is wild! Maybe I’m not the most intelligent person for not picking up on that but, I think it should be listed or at minimum disclosed by the wait staff. The most frustrating part of our experience was, though, that we were initially DELIGHTED to see how allergy friendly things were - many items had notations listed to the side of them where they could be adapted to gluten free versions, including the chicken fried chicken. My son who is GF & DF was excited to have something relatively normal! When his food came out, it was a tiny piece of grilled chicken & we told the runner it wasn’t ours b/c of course, we didn’t order grilled chicken. We were anticipating GF chicken fried chicken - the chef ended up running out and chatting w/ us when we sent it back (b/c at this point we still didn’t know that WAS the “GF version” of their chicken friend chicken) Anyone w/ allergies knows, when it says a menu item can be adapted and made GF, you’re anticipating that actual item in a GF version, not a completely different meal. Hopefully this makes sense but given our anticipating how allergy friendly things seemed, this was really disappointing. The chef DID come up w/ an actual chicken fried chicken alternative in the form of “breaded” chicken tenders, which was really thoughtful but, we were all well into our meals before my son was able to eat. Some other things to note: On the online menu portions look hearty - that was not our experience AT ALL. We totally understood there was a very large party in the downstairs area, which our waiter was attending to (we were upstairs) they also mentioned being short staffed, which again, we totally understand. It didn’t feel fair to our waiter that he was running up and down the stairs and of course, attending to a party that large your attention can only be in so many places at once. He came by our table once after he took our order. We weren’t able to ask for sauces or needed items that didn’t end up coming out with our food and our drinks weren’t refilled until the very end of our meal - we had to wave someone over for that. I’m not typically one to leave reviews but when the $100+ bill came out, the totality of the experience felt pretty disheartening. Things felt chaotic, like the focus of most of the staff was downstairs, extra items were added to our ticket and had to be removed… it just didn’t seem to be operating smoothly. All of that being said, the staff we did encounter were very friendly for the most part - hopefully it was just a really off night. Hopefully food quality, communication and attentiveness pick up a bit b/c it’s a cool concept and facility!

First time dining here and was very satisfied. Excellent server, was accommodating and never rushed us. THANK YOU for the caring attention given to my husband when his knee locked up from a recent knee replacement surgery. You went above and beyond and we appreciate each of you. Elevated, broad menu with plenty of selection whether you're looking for "pub" food or something nicer / different than your typical brewery. Full kitchen with a chef (!). Good tap and full bar. Met Patrick, the proprietor, and had a cool discussion about the focus and direction for this unique space. Recommend!

Such a fun evening at Hall & Hound Brewing! Came for a good meal and drink, but stayed for the awesome live music with The Jesse Williams Band. We walked in without a reservation and were seated immediately. The hostess even asked if we preferred upstairs or downstairs seating, and we looked unsure so she made the executive decision to seat us downstairs because "it's more fun down there." Well, she wasn't wrong and I'm glad she did! The energy was awesome from the moment we walked down. We had a great spot near the performer, and knew we were going to be hanging out for a while. We ordered a few starters to munch on, and the Giant Pretzel which comes with their Pimento Beer Cheese was my favorite - it was delicious! For my main dish, I went for the Shrimp & Grits. I order this often at other restaurants around town, and I have to say this was one of the best versions of Shrimp & Grits I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. It comes with Red Mule organic stone ground grits topped with wild Mexican gulf shrimp, bell pepper, red onion & Andouille bacon cream. Just divine! I am not much of a beer drinker, so I ordered a cocktail. The Strawberry Lemonlicious Lemonade with Vodka, Lemonade, Strawberry Granitas caught my eye on the menu but I'd give it about a 7/10 overall. It had a bit of an interesting after-taste, but I still finished it. Next time I may try the Peach Bellini. Great atmosphere with large food and drink menu. They also have Music Bingo Wednesdays at 7pm. I will definitely be back!
