Italian Pie (In Dacula GA)

Edited as of 11/6/2024 - pizza is inconsistent. Sometimes it’s great others not so great. Today was not so great it almost tasted old.
Original review - 1/2022 - This pizza is definitely one of the best NY style pizzas in the area. I am a born and raised NYer and one thing we miss since moving to Georgia from NY 2 years ago is authentic NY pizza. The owner is from NY so I knew it would be exactly what we expect. The slices are big with just the right amount of cheese and sauce. You won’t be disappointed!

Just experienced a customer service situation that has caused me to discontinue my family visits to Italian Pie in Dacula GA. Refused to give a Military Discount when it's happened numerous times before. I'm sorry you decided to place the item on Special today. It's the principle and the tone that disturbed me the most and not the dollar plus savings. To top it off to inform me that it's my call because I'm the owners son. Me having conversation with the owner and son is the difference between heaven and hell. Clifford Haney, RET.USN

I genuinely love Italian Pie. Just not this location! The manager/owner Yohanna is condescending, unprofessional and very combative . I have gone into this establishment and the guy preparing the food was kind and spoke with my husband and I often. Yesterday was a different story. We ordered and we were extremely disappointed in the food my noodles in my Alfredo were over cooked and the chicken was hard to chew and burnt with little to no sauce. Mozzarella sticks were cold inside cheese not melted. The pizza didn’t seem fresh, I honestly called out of concern hoping that the establishment was okay and no one new was working in the kitchen. However , Yohanna has ruined the possibility of a return from me and my family. I will drive to the one on Lawrenceville Hwy before returning here. The issue is that there is no need to be rude in business these days with a pizza place on almost every corner. There is this thing called loyalty to those that we build relationships with. Lack of the ability to provide customer service and simple kindness ruined this one.

Delicious food in a low-key atmosphere. We had the garlic knots and cheese sticks, which were awesome. The pizza slices were also very good, of course. Highly recommend this hidden gem!

Chicken Tenders were hot, fresh and crispy out of the fryer. Atmosphere is like another one of those Early Mid 2000's vibe inside with a couple of HDTV's hanging on a wall (i guess that's a bonus) overall fine.

Bests pizzas so far, good taste and seasoning. Its no like the common pizza food chains that sells plastic and tasteless pizzas.

Where do I start , as I’m waiting for my pizza I over heard the cook telling the young black gentleman don’t take anymore calls for two slices wasting time we are trying to get these other pizzas ready , when I went to pay I felt the disrespect he was getting from the cook like first of all just cause he’s a young black man doesn’t mean you can just treat him any kind of way when it comes to customer service you need patience even when your under pressure, the older Latino gentleman was very rude and disrespectful to him and I didn’t appreciate how he told him don’t take any orders for 2 slices and told me my wait was going to be 25 mins for two slices of pizza , will be reporting that act of hate against DJ no one should ever feel disrespected in a work Environment! Will be reporting this to corporate, DJ Has Rights as a young Black man

What an experience - first time here.

The young gentleman behind the counter could not have been more gracious and helpful!

We had side salads, pizza, cannoli, and cheesecake; all which tasted fresh and amazing!

The gentleman making the food was also friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had what we wanted to eat.

I was accompanied by a friend who is both blind and hearing impaired and they were very accommodating, including muting the tv we just happened to end up sitting under.

Highly recommend this place for both the food and customer service! Top notch in both areas!

Extremely underwhelming calzone and underwhelming fettuccine. Watered down sauce, low quality cheese and toppings. Very unsatisfied for the price i paid.

Beware of the man who’s patience is worse
than a toddler’s ?

I called to order pickup and an older man
with an accent answered. Boy was he a ray of sunshine ?
I’m a bit shy and I was ordering for my mom who asked if I could put Alfredo sauce on a pizza that we want made. (Btw we’ve done it before but in person, thank you to the two younger guys who work there)
He said no and yapped that they can’t do that. His explaining of things made me so confused and every time I tried explaining he would cut me off.
He cuts me off by saying I have to go take this pizza out and leaves the phone on the counter.
Now I don’t leave reviews. I believe they truly do nothing, especially if this man hasn’t gotten fired yet lol. But I was surprised that I could hear him clearly complaining to the other workers that I was wasting his time and saying rude things when all I asked was about a dang sauce man. AND I was being so nice when I shouldn’t have. So uncalled for.
If that 15 second conversation got you so heated, go take anger management classes. or just don’t work at a food establishment. I feel so sorry for whoever has to work/deal with him, may God be with you cause whew…I would probably quit.
All in all, pizzas great. Two younger gentleman are great. However this man…scary. LOL pleaseeee
