We were in Dahlonega for a graduation looking for something different to eat and this fit the bill. The prices are excellent. We got a schnitzel, spatzle, red cabbage, and potato pancakes and loved everything we had. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stop by.

The potato salad is nothing I’ve ever had before and I wish I ate more of it while I got the chance. Pity I won’t be back soon
Love it

John, the owner, went out of his way to accommodate us on a rainy day because we were traveling with our dog. It was cold and wet, but he had the tables and chairs dried off for us!
The food was great, and his suggestions were spot on! Extremely friendly staff and customers.

This wasn’t our first time visiting, we usually come up once a year and the owner is also there!!! However this visit the owner was on vacation and they fell short!!!!!! I ordered the two schnitzel dinner plate and was very disappointed is the way they looked and tasted!!! They were extremely thin and very dark like they were overcooked or the oil hasn’t been changed however, I was hungry and just wanted to eat As I was looking forward to this meal all day!!!!! I felt that they skimped on the side of my potato salad as there wasn’t much in the bowl!! Normally, I am normally full after I eat that however I actually left the table hungry!!! Before I placed my order, I went ahead told the waitress I wanted extra lemons and at the time I wasn’t told there was an extra charge while she kept coming to the table and bringing me just very small pieces of lemons so when I asked for more she was like I’m gonna have to charge you for extra lemons But never mentioned there would be an extra charge when I initially placed the order!!!! My mother asked for mustard with her sampler plate and we were charged for the mustard which we’ve never been charged for the mustard in the past, and when I asked the waitress about it, she stated that people who eat their already know about the charge keep in mind that we’re not locals yet we do visit once a year. She should have still mentioned that there was a charge. Our beer mugs were not cold. The bread Tasted like it was a bit stale, and our server was a bit slow as far as getting our extra condiments or napkins or anything like that we even had to remind her about the table behind us that the little kid wanted ketchup because she forgot!!! upon getting our bill, we normally receive a military discount and we were told that they don’t do a discount then I also looked at the bill for a miscellaneous charge for a dollar. The waitress couldn’t tell us what it was for, but she ended up giving a dollar out of her pocket and then when I asked about the mustard, she just came up with that reasoning that oh well we have to charge. She apologized for the inconveniences and the bill was over 120 something dollars and it was honestly not worth it. She did come to the table once and ask us how the meal was regret said it was OK and not so very enthusiastic tone, but i was just hungry that it is what it is, I didn’t wanna wait any longer for additional food!!!! The waitresses and the cook were also standing around, shooting the crap more so than attending to the orders and getting stuff out!!!! I’m extremely displeased and I hope the owner reads this.

The food at this little German establishment was amazing and the staff was just as awesome. The owner is an ex Army guy I had a good laugh with. I highly recommend the Jager schnitzel.

Authentic and delicious German food, the staff was so nice and the owner came by to chat for a few minutes. Order the apple strudel 15 minutes before you want it!

Hidden gem. Best beer in town. Easy parking. Good view. Good staff.
This place is really good. It’s almost too good to review because you want to keep this little gold nugget all to yourself.
Bratzeit serves clean German beer in clean glasses of the appropriate make. It’s real beer with real ingredients. It’s the only place in town with this beer.
The potato pancakes go well with the beer. You will squabble for the last one. They are that good.
The view from the beer garden is perfect. The staff have personality, are kind, and down to Earth.
If you want a nice, unbothered moment in the afternoon sun with a good view and the finest drink, avoid the town center rat traps and come to this serene little place.

I was impressed by the delicious, fresh food. The bratwurst, sauerkraut and spatze were standout dishes. The friendly staff and welcoming owner added to the experience, all in a warm, inviting atmosphere. With affordable prices, it’s a great spot for German cuisine. Highly recommend!

We had a great meal, but we got put into a far away corner next to the bathrooms all alone and never got a chance to be part of the goings on in the front. It was distracting, but we made the best of it.
Couldn't order the strudel, because it would have taken 20 minutes longer and we had tickets for a play. Since we were done with dinner, we left.
They need to tell customers about the strudel ahead of time, just in case and it would have made them more money.
I was disappointed...

Very good Jägerschnitzel, fried potatoes. The sauerkraut was sweet, like the Bavarian version. The service was excellent. Low attendance for a Saturday. It is sad, but this place might not be open long if they don't get more people.
