Great service, great wine and great food!

It It was our third stop at a winery. The service was friendly and helpful. We spoke with the owner, who was friendly and approachable. He ordered a margarita flatbread, which was tasty and went well with our flight of wines.
The music was leaving, we arrived at 6;30pm the kitchen closed, but they let's know within hand.
They don't accept kids, but the place is welcoming, it was full. The dog is super friendly and tired of seeing too many people.
You can touch and feed the donkeys (that was nice).

Very nice owner on site. Beautiful views. Wine & flatbread were great, but the donkey's stole the show. Such a fun time.

Gracious hosts. Great indoor and outdoor comfortable quiet spaces.
Delicious sweet wine. Hard to find at most wineries.
Very nice variety on the menu

Been coming here for years, Used to be a great spot to visit with family, even had a playground for kids. Now 16+ only.
Told us we have to leave. Not coming back anymore.

This once family friendly spot is no longer family friendly. No kids allowed. Maybe they should contact all the blogs that rave about them being a top spot to visit with kids. Save yourselves the drive.

GREAT place… several wines worthy of tasting. Be sure to ask for Ella and Kathy! Great views… so relaxing! Loved our time spent here… you will not be disappointed!

If I could give a negative zero I would. Our stay at Dahlonega was amazing until we went to this winery. Service and quality of food and drinks was amazing everywhere else. We came here and the wine was so low grade that was like drinking Boones Farm and on top of that there was horrible service, the lady that seemed to be the manager was super rude and could care less. They had a dog that was all over people but would not allow service dogs as we saw a couple where he was a veteran being turned away with a service dog. They even asked them to show what the dog can do. Do yourself a favor and go to Wolf winery or The Cottage. You won’t regret it,

My family and I have been coming here for years and now they don’t allow ANY CHILDREN under the age of 16. We come up here multiple times a year and this was one of our fav spots. It was one of the many factors that inspired us to purchase a place in the area. They used to have a playground here and now you can’t even come inside if you have children with you. What a massive disappointment. Will not be back with or without our kids.

I’m ready to go back and enjoy this place again

The scene is pretty, the prices are steep, but the quality of food is awful. Cold dip, cheaply made food for an expensive price served with average potatoe chips that taste stale. Not impressed. Never mind paying a hefty fee for good quality, but $16 for a poorly made sandwich and stale chips along with an $18 wrap that was less than good. No thanks. Won't go back. Step up the quality for the price. Thats worth a drive to North GA, not cruddy food and an ok atmosphere with a pretty view. Went to Kaya.... loved it!

We have visited cavender creek for years and years and what used to be our favorite vineyard put a really bad taste in our mouth today. We felt extremely unwelcome and like we were forced out. We were on our second bottle of wine and my boyfriend went to go get a beer and they rudely said “it’s past last call and we can’t serve you”. They never informed us it was last call and it was literally 6:31 and we had an almost full bottle of wine still. They clearly wanted to get out of there because just 15 minutes later they came around and gave us plastic cups so they could take our wine glasses. I’m sorry but I don’t want to drink my almost $50 bottle of wine out of a plastic cup?? As soon as the clock hit 7 someone came over and said we are now closed and we are going to have to ask you to leave. We have strictly came here for years because it felt so welcoming and chill and now we don’t know if we will be back. I’m sad to say we had a terrible experience and to top it off it was my dads 65th birthday.

Cavender Creek Correctional Facility & Vineyard!

According to the website, the owner wants you to “feel like a guest in her home.” I’m guessing her home is outfitted with surveillance cameras, guard dogs, and a giant list of “NO’s” taped to every available surface. NO kids under 16 (because clearly children are the root of all vineyard-related evil). NO fun. NO trust. NO thanks.

Walking onto the property felt less like visiting a charming winery and more like checking in for detention. Between the tone of the signage and the security warnings, I half-expected to be frisked for contraband before being allowed to sample the subpar wine.

And let’s talk about the highlight: If you want to order a wine flight, you’ll need to put down a deposit on the wooden board they serve it on. Because obviously, I came here with grand plans to steal a $5 piece of lumber. Thanks for assuming your paying customers are criminals. Nothing says “welcome” quite like being treated guilty until proven innocent.

The overall vibe here screams miserable homeowner forced to tolerate strangers on her property for income. Dahlonega has plenty of beautiful, friendly vineyards where they actually want you to relax, enjoy yourself, and maybe even bring your kids. This isn’t one of them.

Skip it. Unless you’re into wine with a side of condescension and paranoia.

My first and not my last visit. This is a beautiful setting. It has great flights and can provide food items other than the usual charcuterie. The staff is polite and friendly. The venue is perfect for a group. Please visit.

We have visited this winery for many years for our anniversary. This year we were asked to leave because our 13 year old came with us. There many wineries in the area with better views, better wine, and better hospitality.
