The food choices offered a delightful experience with chilaquiles that were particularly tasty. Fajitas had no flavor and the plate needed ti be hotter, the overall atmosphere felt very welcoming. It was a great environment with a strong sense of community and small-town charm.
I have eaten at many Mexican Restaurants in my life. Only one was as good as El Jimador and that restaurant was in Alamogordo New Mexico near the Mexico Border. I eat at El Jimador frequently and it is always made to order and is very fresh. They do not cover everything with melted bought cheese. All dishes are fantastic but their fresh guacamole is do die for. Favorite go to place to eat in Dahlonega!!!
I got the carnitas dinner and it is always so good! My husband got the steak fajitas dinner and my daughter got the kids taco, rice and beans. Overall the food is always excellent. This is our 3rd time going to El Jimador since moving to Dahlonega. I had refrained previously from leaving a review because I wanted to give this place a chance with the staff/waitresses but the service is pretty bad. The waitress we had was Torial M per the receipt and she got snippy and an attitude...
