Food was burnt, cold, grits like soup, biscuits like a brick. Blinds are filthy and window sills have bugs. Only open I guess as there is no where else for breakfast. Well awful house I guess.
Food was really good and the people are very polite! Good personal and friendly people!
Local diner atmosphere. Decent place for breakfast and lunch. Cinnamon roll and Shrimp po boy were deliciously amazing!

Our first time there and really enjoyed the food and service. We will be back to try something different.
12-5-24. My wife and I came back. I had the daily special country fried steak and my wife had the 1/3lb burger. My daily special seemed to be a half portion compared to the last time we ate there. The last country fried steak wasn’t a daily special. My wife’s burger was very salty. I tried it as well and I also agreed it was salty. Our waitress did well at first and then disappeared. Then we saw her eating apparently she was on break.

The parking lot was full, but sat right away. Waitress delivered our coffee quickly. Between the two of us we had scrambled eggs, bacon, smoked sausage, grits, home fries, wheat and rye toast. All was delicious.

The food was good but I got a cold baked potato. I sent it back and it still wasn't hot enough to melt the butter. The server was nice and attentive. I noticed the next table over sent something back to be heated also.

We just happened upon this treasure. The service was top-notch. Everyone was friendly and polite. Our server was everything right, she should train servers everywhere alike. Sadly, I don't remember her name. The food was perfectly cooked. To start, we had fried jalapeño slices. There was no grease. They were hot and seasoned. So good. The main course was fried shrimp, again with no grease. Served hot with homemade sauces. We had baked potatoes (perfect) and fried okra. The best-fried okra I
have had. I will make the hour trip here often. Next, is the breakfast menu...😋 then the blackened catfish.

Great Breakfast, I think it was called the Rubbish Heap Omelette. Mmmmmm! Very nice people and friendly service with a smile.
Parking: Parking lot was full when we arrived. But we were able to park alright. Just a little tight because it was full.

This was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is small so if you have a big party be patient with the staff. They will try to accommodate you as best they can. Which speaks to the level of service we received. The food was amazing. They don't offer chicken and waffles as an entree, but you can order a la carte. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. Would highly recommend. Definitely worth the visit.
