The owner came out and offered us hot sauce that her and her husband made. The sauces are home made and really good.

Very small dining room because it is a part of a gas/convenience store. Appropriate decorations and theme and the smell is heavenly!DELICIOUS food and best barbque in Dahlonega/Dawsonville in my opinion. They considerately double bag liquid sauces and entries to prevent spillage in car. Will definitely return many more times-I highly recommend this restaurant!Parking: Because this place is part of a very busy gas station/convenience store, parking can be tricky and vehicles don't obey reasonable speed restrictions at times. They do have a small outdoor dining area.

The food is decent. The only thing is the restaurant is in need of some cleaning! Dust all over the walls and the tables need cleaning.Kid-friendliness: I didn’t notice any high chairs.Parking: The restaurant is located inside a convenience store,so it’s hard to find a parking spot.

We were in town for a wedding. Stopped in for some BBQ with the gf and her mother. Was really looking for ribs but they didn't have any that day. The meat was delicious with the home made sauces. otherwise it's prepared smoked meat. The cobbler swayed our decision to come here versius the other place in town. It wasn't peach season so the cobbler was firm not so tender peach pieces.

A hidden gem! There’s two restaurants that survive attached to a gas station, fast food restaurants and good ones. This is the latter. I went to school at UNG and fell in love with this place. Anytime I visit, I make a point to visit. The best BBQ in North Georgia. Their white lightning bbq sauce is key. Nothing on the menu will disappoint.

This is my favorite place to eat, they might not always be open, but when they are it's special! I've grown up here in dahlonega my whole life and I've had my fair share of barbecue and thus is by far the best!! The hickory fries are my favorite dish from anywhere!!

The owner Karen is a thief and doesn't deserve your money. She stole tips from me and other employees and she never gave me my last pay check after I begged her for it for a year. Hopefully she's fixed the rat and mold problems that she managed to hide from the health inspectors somehow. Not to mention how greedy she is with portion sizes. Also don't buy dessert from the display case because she probably bought whatever cake or pie is in there from the grocery store I know she's done it plenty of times before, and she'll keep the stuff for way too long. Some of the food might be good but it is way overpriced, and nothing is guaranteed to be sanitary or fresh there. Be careful not to get food poisoning.

Do not eat at this restaurant. My wife and I went there for dinner. First of all, they were out of burnt ends, ribs, brisket and Mac and cheese. My wife had smoked chicken with beans and collards. I had pulled pork with beans and collards. Nothing was hot, everything at room temperature. Told waitress and cook that nothing was hot, no offer to heat it up or discount meal. Charged full price. Health department will be notified that they are not keeping food at correct temperature.

Sat at the bar and noticed shelves full of BBQ festival and contest awards on the wall. Figured that must be a good sign. I ordered a brisket plate with beans and mac & cheese sides. The brisket was well-prepared and tasted amazing. The sides were both good and exactly what I was hoping for. I tried all six sauces that were provided with the meal and was impressed with at least half of them. Good service, pleasant atmosphere, reasonable prices, delicious food. Those awards must be legit.

Delicious! Best baked potato ever and tasty bbq with pulled pork texture! Even the toast was good and crunchy…and I don’t like toast usually! Peach cobbler was fantastic!

I was surprised when we drove up and it was adjacent to a convenience store, but I know good food isn’t always where the good silver and China are.It did not disappoint, and our server Jerrell, was the friendliest, and hardest working we could have asked for.

Don't judge a book by its cover. The place shares the building with a convenience store but the restaurant was clean, nicely decorated, quick service AND the bbq was wonderful. We had the award winning brisket and it truly was great. Place had a full bar and great banana pudding for dessert
