As a local, this is the best place to eat in town. Locally or ethically sourced menu items, seasonal specials, and affordable prices. Food is always hot and delicious. No giant overwhelming menu. The service is always great and we have never had a bad experience here. They make it a point to make everyone feel welcome here, which as two gay women is much appreciated. We recommend the fried green tomatoes, the gooey, and the rude awakening. Our 10 year old recommends the chili mac. Only thing I wish they had was a tangible kids menu.

We normally sit at the bar and enjoy our dinner there. Food is great and service is wonderful. To be honest, we go there because of Rose the bartender. Rose makes the most wonderful drinks and it’s very entertaining to talk to. We actually met a couple during Thanksgiving at the Smith House who mentioned spirits Tavern and they also said they come there just to see Rose, all the way from Alabama. Olie& Tammi

Highly recommend! Unreal food. The kalettes off the appetizer menu were INCREDIBLE. They make their ginger beer in-house so the Moscow mule was on point! Impressed that while we were at the bar on a Saturday night, the owners came in and both the husband and the wife rolled their sleeves and got to work cleaning tables and helping bartenders. Would highly recommend this place.

We waited three days for the wait to be reasonable to get in. Then we waited a hour and half. Beer was cold and fries were good. Problem was the med-well burger was at best medium rare. Waitress didn't really seemed surprised when I told her that.

First off our waiter was off the chain great. He was on point from greeting the bill. Food was amazing, delicious chicken salad sandwich and patty melt had a special touch. Great atmosphere for most Dahlonega Ga places... Highly recommend giving this hidden gem a try versus on vacation or just pasting through. One of the better restaurants we ate at during our three days there. Top choice

I was really hoping this place was as good as all the reviews I had read, however I was sorely disappointed 😔. We went for dinner on the night of the Dahlonega Christmas parade. The restaurant was understandably busy. We put our name on the list and it was just short of a two hour wait before our table was ready. I decided to wait because I really wanted to try one of their burgers which are highly recommended online. Upon finally being seated, it was cold and drafty inside and the floor was VERY slippery as I walked across to use the restroom. Our waitress came to the table and spoke so fast I didn’t even catch her name. I felt very rushed to order. I ended up getting a burger and fries to split with my mom. Sadly by the time the food made it to our table, the burger was barely lukewarm and the fries were as well. The burger was nothing to write home about. I quietly ate my food and paid the bill. I had to get the attention of another waitress to get them to bring our check as we were sitting there freezing by that point due to the draft. I would try them again on a less busy day. Hopefully that is the reason the food and service was subpar.
