As a local, this is the best place to eat in town. Locally or ethically sourced menu items, seasonal specials, and affordable prices. Food is always hot and delicious. No giant overwhelming menu. The service is always great and we have never had a bad experience here. They make it a point to make everyone feel welcome here, which as two gay women is much appreciated. We normally sit at the bar and enjoy our dinner there. Food is great and service is wonderful. To be honest, we go there because of Rose the bartender. Rose makes the most wonderful drinks and it’s very entertaining to talk to. We actually met a couple during Thanksgiving at the Smith House who mentioned spirits Tavern and they also said they come there just to see Rose, all the way from Alabama.

Highly recommend! Unreal food. The kalettes off the appetizer menu were INCREDIBLE. They make their ginger beer in-house so the Moscow mule was on point! Impressed that while we were at the bar on a Saturday night, the owners came in and both the husband and the wife rolled their sleeves and got to work cleaning tables and helping bartenders. Would highly recommend this place.
