The Crimson Moon had to relocate from the previous "dive bar" location recently. They rebounded spectacularly and have evolved into a true listening rooms environment. The full service restaurant and bar are gone but there is a beer and wine bar with desserts and there are plenty of restaurant choices in close proximity. Long live Crimson Moon!

Great little place that serves good food and live music. The staff is very friendly and the service is good.

The Crimson Moon is awesome. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is very laid back. The night we went my friend Shawn Mullins preformed songs from his various albums including Shimmer, Light you up and his smash #1 hit Lullabye (Rockabye) . Check out The Crimson Moon. You won't be disappointed.

This place is amazing! The atmosphere is like none other and is definitely the gem of Dahlonega. The owner is passionate about this and it's not 'just a business' to her. It's so exciting that they are moving to a new venue on the square that will allow for more seating for the many new shows to come. I highly recommend. If you are local or visiting this quaint little mountain town, be sure to buy tickets for a show. You can't go wrong.

Great music room, especially when people have come to enjoy the excellent playing and exquisite harmonies of groups like just Roxie. Nice staff; food could use some upgrading

Reading w surprise Re the reviews of rude service - we have been going here on and off for years and never had that experience thankfully - went 2 weeks ago to listen to music and enjoyed it very much Food was good - waitress attentive - didn't interact with hostess really Sadly we learned the bldg has been purchased and they're losing the lease in favor of a new steak restaurant to be located in its place - Last day is June 1 approx We will miss Crimson Moon - it's not decided if they'll reopen in another location - but hoping so - I believe the owner also owns Shenanigans - another great place off the Square

Quaint little spot for lunch. We started with cheese curds for appetizer. Yum!My husband got the cod sandwich. Said it was good, yet nothing stood out. He got the seasoned sweet potato fries. Seasoned sweetly. I got the grilled cheese. Suffice it to say I was very surprised when it was placed in front of me. It was presented vertically because the cheese was also fried on the outside of the bread. While it was an interesting presentation, I found it difficult to eat. I ended up using a knife and fork and it was still difficult. Tasted good, but I wouldn't order again as I'm the type of person that doesn't like to work at eating their food. I would go back to dine there, but just get something different.

Hostess was like a stepmom from hell. Watching a nice show and she would follow me around if I tried to order from the bar or move an empty chair. She said the seat was already sold but I saw her table chart coming in and nobody's name was on the sold seat? ?‍♂️I think over half the seats were empty. What a buzz kill.

Hostess rudely scolded us for moving a chair. She even followed us to the bar and rudely said, "you know you have a waitress right?" Will not be frequenting this establishment anymore. The waitress we had was wonderful, hostess was garbage. The owner told us to leave when we complained. Will absolutely never come to this place again. If you want good food please don't come here, they'll serve you subpar food, and kick you out when you have a legitimate complaint. The owner called us a**holes in front of other customers! The comment below is why this place is doomed to fail. Literally felt like I was in an episode of kitchen nightmares. Gordan Ramsey needs to save this place before the owners run it into the ground.

The hostess was extremely rude. The food sucks. The waitress was rude. Everything about this place sucks considering the area around it is beautiful and welcoming. I would not recommend coming here. You will not have a good time.

I have been to Dahlonega many times but this was the first time trying this restaurant.THE PLACE: Cute décor. The ladies room cute but good lord trying to navigate the ramp to get into it is STEEP! An elderly or disabled person would be in peril. I'm pretty sure that it is not ADA certified. I recently had knee surgery and found it uncomfortable to go and down and there is no railing to hold onto - seriously needs to be fixed.THE STAFF: The waitress although friendly looked tired from the night before whether working or out and about.THE FOOD: The fried green tomato appetizer was delicious. The grilled cheese sandwich was probably great in theory but execution was about a B-. First its listed as a grilled cheese but the cheese is on the outside of the sandwich. The inside has spinach, tomato, bacon w/ an herbed mayonnaise. The liquid from the tomato and the grease from the cheese makes it messy to eat and the bread soggy. It tasted good but I wouldn't order it again. There is little cheese flavor, just sharp cheddar and since it's called a grilled cheese you would think that would be the predominant flavor. I would 86 the cheese and call it an BST or some other catchy name, it's not really a grilled cheese.

Great place to listen to live music.

Owner kicked us out when we complained about the hostess. The hostess rudely scolded us for moving a chair, then had the audacity to tell us, "you have a waitress why are you at the bar?" Will never go here again.

The Crimson Moon ? used to be my friends hangout for poetry readings & music! They have a small stage and we're getting ready for live entertainment Saturday night! I had the spinach artichoke dip with chips that was delicious and my friend had an incredible grilled cheese that was finished off with a CHEESE casing on the outside! The salad was also good and mostly eaten before I remembered to take the pic!
