I'm so glad we didn't read the reviews before my husband and I ate here, otherwise we may have missed out on an excellent breakfast. We both ordered the LA Casa breakfast and it was delicious! ?? My husband prefers bacon gravy over sausage gravy but said that Frannick's sausage gravy was the best he's ever had. I ordered over-medium eggs and they were a little runny but they were still good. Home fries were delicious despite the green peppers that I didn't know came in them. I've never been a big fan of grits but theirs was pretty good. The restaurant was very crowded but we were seated fairly quickly considering there were about six people ahead of us when we arrived. Service was excellent, and we expect to be back.

Love this place, my only criticism is I hate the "thirst quenchers" orange juice. It's just not good. I went to Waffle House and even they carry Tropicana or Florida's Best now. I'm posting this in hopes the management try a better quality product. The cooks are really good. I've never had a bad meal here. As far as the menu goes, there are so many good things to choose from. I did think the French toast combo coming with another "choice of breakfast bread" was a bit odd, but I just paid a small upcharge and took home a bagel with cream cheese. My advice to management is just add 1 additional piece of French toast and lose the choice of additional bread. It just makes more sense and won't increase your food cost at all.I really hope this place sticks around. I'm a little concerned since they closed down the expansion room and cut back hours. I hope they stay in business.

We went there for breakfast on Tuesday 9th 730am, ordered the Lumberjack breakfast, came out as a dried out Omelette, biscuit was like rock. Three of us could not cut open it, then the waitress told us the it was left over from night before and they just reheated it. How hard is it to make an omelette. Our group will never go there again.

Don't get me wrong. It was a good experience; however, it wasn't the experience we have come to love about Frannicks of yore. Upon entering we noticed immediately how cramped and tight it felt. Previous visits were open and relaxe. Today we felt tight and rushed. With the loss of an entire dining room, on a busy Saturday Winter morning, no waiting room at the front door, it was stress immediately because everyone was shoulder to shoulder and even the tables are really close together. Other patrons mentioned the same feeling as we were basically sitting at the waiting area. I don't pretend to know why this change was made. Perhaps it was a business necessity or a temporary situation. What I do know is that it isn't working for atmospheres. I truly enjoyed the feel of it. I have places I brunch where that togetherness dining works so it isn't a crowd issue for me. The Junction in Charleston is a great example of close dining that works. My breakfast was good but husband's scrambled eggs were too scrambled and dry. It only appeared as one egg also. Their grits had a great creaminess and my sourdough was awesome. Service was awesome and the food arrived extremely quick. Very hard workers and we appreciate them!

Food was ok, asked for no peppers /onions in potatoes, there were a lot in there, , she barely came to check on me, 1 time to see if I needed more coffee, I saw they were supposed to be “Friendly “ she was polite, but I did not feel welcome, I guess because I wasn’t a regular, which is sad, you would think being my first time they would go out of their way to make you feel welcome and want to come back, NEVER!

The food wasn't all that good to me the potatoes were very soft and undercooked, the bacon was cold, the sausage as well which had very little to no flavor as well as the grits the drinks were very watered down. The pancake however, was very good as well as the french toast, the omelette my mom got was very flavorless and very small. The tea was also very cold even tho she specifically asked for hot tea the server brought her cold tea. The service was mediocre at best, when talking to the server it felt like we were being rushed each step of the way. The ambiance of the place is pretty normal like any other restaurant would be.

I’ve heard a lot of good reviews on this place but honestly we were completely disappointed. The waitress was kind but that was the only positive. The fried green tomatoes were $8 for 4 and 1/2 little burnt pieces. My chicken fried chicken tasted like plastic, my husband and I couldn’t even finish half of it. The burger was mediocre. Overall we weren’t very pleased.

Our server was amazing. Very attentive, and she had suggestions from the menu for us when asked. The place itself was clean, and it's trying to be "homey," but neither the server nor the decor is enough for us to want to go back. The food was sadly lacking in every way. The breakfast potatoes/home fries were bland/unseasoned and tasted like they had been reheated (very poorly) from yesterday's batch. They had obviously been warmed in the microwave, but somehow managed to not be hot. The eggs in the Eggs Benedict were overcooked, almost to hard boiled, and the Hollandaise sauce was bland. The white gravy was pasty and flavorless, and didn't taste scratch-made. In fact, the gravy tasted like every bad white gravy I've ever had, like it came from a "just add water" mix. The biscuit was okay, but it wasn't anything special. The corned beef hash was from a can. It had to have been, since brisket doesn't show up anywhere on the menu.
