A friend got me a German chocolate cake with coconut frosting from McEntyre bakery. Now I have had many cakes of this kind in my life and McEntyre bakery’s was the best one ever. Highly recommend this bakery.

5 X 100 STARS!!! I went to McEntyre Bakery/Dallas-GA.....and purchased a single layer CARAMEL CAKE....and I must say......IT IS ***DELICIOUS***!!!! So MOIST.....delicious SMOOTH CARAMEL....with NO aftertaste that I have found in some caramel cakes. Just simply delicious. I have been looking SO long for a person or bakery that can make a GREAT CARAMEL CAKE.....and.....I FOUND THAT TODAY. If the single layer tastes THIS GOOD....THIS YUMMY.....I'm so afraid of having that double layer in the house with me.....LOL. Tastes like the old fashioned caramel cake I remember from back in the day.I had tried 2 other well known bakeries for caramel cakes.....and paid a LOT more than what I paid at McEntyre.....and I wasted money on those places. When I venture home to visit family again.....I will be taking one ...or 2....of these cakes. I also purchased a couple of strawberry cake squares and some homemade chicken salad....they were delicious as well......BUT......that CARAMEL CAKE........took the CAKE!!!!--LOL

A couple of weeks ago a friend who lives near this kiosk shop of the Smyrna bakery brought me several items to help me after surgery. I had never heard of the bakery, but the food that she brought was delicious! We enjoyed Brunswick stew, which I have only eaten once before in my life, that was filled with flavor while also blended with perhaps an immersion blender. Therefore it was a smoother texture rather than chunky, and it had a flavorful smoky taste along with the seasoning of a smoky ham or pork. We had chicken pot pie, individual sizes, that thawed, only took 35 minutes to bake. If you think of the perfect homemade chicken pot pie, that is what you will get at this bakery. Filled with shredded chicken, flavored just like grandma used to, with peas and carrots in a creamy base, stuffed into a delicate pastry, it made for a perfect meal in one dish. My mouth is watering as I write this. My friend also brought us lemon cupcakes, of which I ate one a day, forcing myself not to eat them all in one sitting! I have had good cupcakes before, but these were fabulous! A dense cake topped with an icing that was fresh rather than sugary. After that deliciousness, I ordered some food myself, and my friend brought it over to me. We ordered the chicken pot pies, and for the first time I tried their chicken salad and their pimento cheese. We also got a 12-grain sliced bread along with two treats: a peanut butter bar and a chocolate cake square, smaller than a cupcake and more one-bite size, of which I do not have a picture to share because I ate it already ha ha! The chicken salad has a tiny bit of dill flavor, and the pimento cheese is just what you think it is, a southern delicacy! The sweet treats were fabulous, and the whole-grain bread has the texture of the nuts and grains that is so delicious on sandwiches or just with toast. I have not made it to either bakery, but I am eager to give the bigger bakery a try once I can get around better post surgery! Do yourself a favor and try this family bakery! Eat local.
