I love Merle's. Good selection of food - bbq, burgers, hotdogs, fries, onion rings, sweet potato fries, etc. The employees are always friendly and polite (and patient with me). Merle's is a good distance from my home, but it's worth the drive. Try it. You'll love it too.
Let me start with saying this place isn't bad. I gave them 4 stars for effort, but this bbq for me personally was a strong 3.6.
The ribs were good. They were just a tad overcooked but ribs are hard not to overcook. I kinda liked the char but one end of my ribs were a bit dry. Still not bad.
The coleslaw was good. The baked beans were okay. Not my favorite, but again not bad. Food quality isn't bad, just a bit different style barbecue...

Best brisket I have ever had, seriously. I went there with my daughter because she wanted wings and this was recommended by someone we were visiting out that way. Wings were great, good fried pickles and the brisket, oh so good.
