It was such an awkward time! We arrived wearing like date night clothes and when we walked in, the owner said “are you here for a to-go order?” We instantly got the vibe and knew that we were not welcome there. He explained the dress code, and I couldn’t really see what was wrong. I was wearing a nice sun dress, nice leather shoes, a high end bag, and expensive jewelry.
My husband was in a *good quality* v neck grey tshirt and nice shorts. The only things I could think of were that I was wearing spaghetti straps on my sun dress, and I have tattoos, because other patrons were wearing tshirts and open-toed sandals.
I mean come on- it was 90 degrees out yesterday. It was HOT. And objectively, my husband and I looked nice. The owner explained that he wanted all of the guests to feel “safe and comfortable with the other guests”, like…I don’t think we were dressed offensively.
The issue is that we felt instantly unwelcome, and I should have taken that as a sign to leave. We even considered leaving, but the owner said “just come on in but remember it for next time”.
We went in and I just couldn’t shake the awkward feeling. It was not a light-hearted dinner. I asked if I could substitute shrimp for chicken on a dish, because there were very few non-meat options, and was told there were no substitutions. I ended up ordering the cioppino at his recommendation, and it wasn’t that great.
To be honest, the mussels tasted and smelled like my dog’s breath after she drank out of the toilet when my kid forgot to flush it and left the seat up.
The owner suggested I let the mussels marinade in the broth beneath them, but it didn’t help much. The owner told me that people travel from far and wide to eat the cioppino. Like from where…Douglasville?
I will say the hummus was excellent. But everything else was like…ok whatever. The place definitely had a *goal* you know? To be super fancy and high end and play jazz music over the speaker, and I appreciate big dreams.
I know how hard it is to run a restaurant. I have worked at plenty, and my parents owned a couple that I used to work at. I’ve seen the ins and outs of these setups and I know there has to be a bridge between a vision and execution of that vision, and it can be a difficult bridge to build.
I would have had a lot more sympathy and understanding for the quality of the food and atmosphere had we not been treated like dirty scoundrels when we walked in the door. Yes, the owner attempted to be gentle and kind and smile at us afterwards when taking our orders, but it wasn’t enough to shake the awkward feelings. I didn’t want to be there at all and couldn’t leave fast enough.
I kept feeling sort of bad about myself even though I left the house feeling beautiful and confident, excited to step out with my man and have a romantic dinner. My husband said “honey, there’s literally a Wendy’s across the street and a vape shop next door. There’s a guy sitting out here on a golf cart with a road pop waiting to buy some gummies. Don’t feel bad, its not you.”
My husband was hoping for a beautiful night so that he could re-propose to me with new rings (we are celebrating our 9th anniversary and renewing our vows) and he ultimately decided that it would be cruel to me to propose to me in a place where I felt so anxious. He later did it at Allatoona Park which was sweet and made up for the night.

Got to go order, after placing order and paid for it I asked to use the rest room and was told that restroom was for dine in only patrons. I told him I was diabetic and was still denied access to the rest room. I'm pretty postive this is against the Americans with Disability Act.
They only have 3 parking spots, they are in a mini strip like mall surrounded by fast food and nail and vape shops, yet they have a dress code as if they are some high end snobs. There is a huge dumpster that sits in front of the corner of the building. Got my food ordered 2 Greek platers and made my stool watery when I got home. I will NEVER give them a dime of my money and tell everyone in my social circles. Don't waste your time. They are a wanna be high end place like Ruth Crist or J. Alexander but McDonald's has better locations. Hardly anyone in the place. I hope they go out of business soon. The sooner the better. If I spend money at your location and I have a medical condition, I expect to use your restroom. There are a lot of gas stations on the highway that say they don't have a public restroom. I don't spend money with them. As for the so called bistro grill, they will never have my business again. 😒🤢

Bistro Grill is simply amazing! A must for anyone in the area looking for an extensive menu with unique and flavorful dishes along with wonderful hospitality.
Every meal tasted like it was individually prepared for each person...the portions were generous and we had the opportunity to talk to the manager quite a bit. It was a great experience
Food was fantastic!!! Great service! We went for Mothers Day and will definitely be back.
The lamb chops were so awesome

Food is absolutely fabulous! Service is terrible. The guy had such a nasty attitude. He acted snooty and put off that we were even there likely because my nieces were there. I asked for a lemon slice with my water because I was so thirsty, the guy said they didn’t have lemons! Then my brother in law got a huge slice of lemon on his meal for garnish. I’ll just order take out because the food is absolutely delicious but there’s no way I’ll be treated so rudely to eat dinner.
My husband and I went to The Bistro Grill tonight for the first time, and we had an excellent experience. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, with nice lighting and jazz music. The staff were friendly and attentive!
We were seated quickly, and we immediately noticed how extensive the menu was. Tons of small plate/appetizer options, and tons of entree options as well. We started with the babaganoush, which was absolutely delicious. My husband got the chops and kebab for his main plate, and I had the platter meal with falafel, pesto pasta, Greek salad, and hummus. Everything was made perfectly, and was so fresh and flavorful. The portion sizes were impressive as well! A great value for the price. We finished with the passion fruit and raspberry cake for dessert, which was excellent too.
We will absolutely be back soon! Highly recommend this spot for a date night.
Fantastic lamb chops and chicken. All of the food was fresh and hot too. A hidden gem!

This place is a hidden gem. Atmosphere was romantic. The lighting, table, music, and decor was simple but very nice. Food was fresh and delicious. Our waiter was professional but not open to explaining things and it's taste. He referred me to the menu. We were told to wear business causal, no jeans, and no open toe shoes. So be prepared.
My friend and I at the Bistro Grill several months ago and we had a great experience. The food was fresh, authentic, and delicious. Our server, Mary, was absolutely precious, and she took great care of us! My friend had the tabouli, which had a generous amount of herbs and was so good. I had the chicken, (I think it was the rosemary) and it was cooked perfectly. We both enjoyed the humus and pita, which was very good. If you are looking for a great meal in the Dallas or Acworth area, you should definitely check out this restaurant.
Super nice and down to earth owner great service. The best lamb I have ever had in my entire life. Highly recommend.
Delicious food.
I was shocked by all the negative reviews for this restaurant. I suppose it's all about perception.
My husband and I recently ate here and we loved it! The food was fantastic! I ordered the Lamb Kebab and it was cooked to perfection, along with everything else on my plate. Hubby ordered the Mixed Grill and we were both surprised by how much food there was on the massive platter, and it was all quite delectable as well. I won't need to cook for a few days, we had so many leftovers!! Double bonus!! Yay!
I found the ambiance of the restaurant to be cozy and intimate. The service was excellent. Hubby did have to remove his ball cap which was not a big deal to us. We missed the sign about the dress code when we arrived, but we'll be sure to dress appropriately next time.
We were very pleased with our experience and eager to return soon. Yummmmm!!! 😋🤤
