Very subpar experience. Was staying at the carpentry hotel & stopped by for lunch. Server was very inattentive, misplaced my order & had to apologize twice after food came out. Got the Club & Brunswick stew, Food was just not that good. Then when i attempted to pay, the credit card machine was down. Left a lot to be desired.

Love this sweet small-town cafe with cuisine that reminds me of my my childhood in the south amongst some of the greatest cooks I know and love.

This is the kind of lunch place I have been looking for. A great meat and 3 (or 2 ) restaurant with amazing country cooking. It's very affordable and everything was seasoned and prepared the way I like it. I have tried many other restaurants with this format but Oakwood is the QUEEN of the Dalton lunch. For the homestyle recipes I was pleasantly surprised by their prices. One of the best values I have seen lately. Service was excellent, all of the staff were lovely and quite hospitable. Their daily specials are wonderful! We will be back !

We happened upon this spot on our way to chattanooga from ellijay. The food was so so good. The 5 of us ate for less than $70. I wish it were closer to home because I would be a regular.

Came here while visiting from Florida. Absolutely amazing. The food came out so fast and was delicious. The young lady who was serving me was so hard working. Taking orders, running food, rolling silverware, greeting customers. This place is the definition of southern hospitality. Look no further and make sure to get the sweet potato pancake. You won't regret it.

Absolutely the best food in Dalton. Snappy service even when they are busy. Parking can be kind of a nightmare though because of the construction going on in front.

I am so glad I found this restaurant. I wanted an authentic country dinner and this place was exactly what I was looking for. Yes, the food is as good as it looks in the picture. I loved their large selection of sides — clearly I couldn’t pick just two (that came with my bbq pork) I had to get a whole veggie plate of 4 more. My favorites were the corn casserole and Mac and cheese. SO yummy! The atmosphere is cute too. Will definitely be back!

Food was good country cooking. The construction going on outside was a shame. Been working on that corner for months !

We had a steller dining experience. The quality of the food never disappoints. Tried their Spinach Strawberry Salad for the first time. It was sooo good. However, tonight was even more special because of the service. Our waitress, Claire was very sweet, and was there to help with anything we might need. Thank you, Oakwood

“Pleasantly surprised on my first visit! The food was delicious—classic, comforting country fare that brought back memories of family meals from years past. Service was excellent: my server, the lovely Maegan, was friendly, fast, and incredibly attentive. Even the young woman who greeted me was warm and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back.”
Thank you, Oakwood Cafe.
($21.94 for 2 meals and sweet tea, of course.)
