Counter service. The food certainly has traditional flair but also offers options to make it more Tex-mex. You can have your standard tacos on corn tortilla with onions and cilantro, but they also offer an extensive list offering of toppings, so you could also have a taco on a flour tortilla with lettuce, tomato, and cheese. They also offer burgers, nachos, and other creative options. Well done and delicious.

Had a delicious lunch after church at Sol De Mayo tacos! This small restaurant has enormous flavor and wonderful and fresh dishes right near the heart of Dalton! We loved everything we purchased! We got a wonderful gluten free taco bowl, a chicken (pollo) quesadilla grande with cactus salad on the side, kids taco fry with agua Fresca pineapple, steak (asada) taco, an absolutely fresh and delicious Horchata Iced Coffee, and delicious churros with filling inside. Everything was authentic and the flavors were right on! Plenty of parking outside. Five stars.

My family loves Sol de Mayo. Their shredded beef is so good. We love the nachos and the tacos. Their agua fresca is wonderful, too. Definitely worth a visit!

The food is amazing we drive from Calhoun just for their tacos and tortas and nachos . But the service is HORRIBLEEE! The skinny girl who is always at the register, never welcomes you never says hey. More like "what do you want" . You should definitely look into someone who will attract people not repel.

Some of the best tacos I have ever had. I go here 2-3 times a week religiously. I'm in town for work and do not miss a week of getting a meal here. Fresh food, amazing service and huge portions!

Still a fan. Did the "to go" thing tonight which is never as good, but the size of the tacos is outstanding. Still good flavors and the chips / salsa is very good. Deep fried fresh chips....ate most on the way home. Can't wait to be able to eat it there one day.

Terrible service!! I ordered curbside pick up tonight and the girl on the phone kept talking to someone else about how her "eyelashes were itching" and was very slow to take the order. Then we get there and called several times but no one answered. Finally we got in touch with them and they said they would bring it outside but never did. We waited over 30 minutes and no one ever came out. Finally we called again and they were confused on what was going on and told us they were closed. They've hired a lot of people who don't know what they're doing and they're very unprofessional.

Might give it a try later in the future, there's no way it takes 30 minutes for 2 tacos and fries, fries take about 3-5mins to cook, tacos don't take that long. Where they chasing the cow? Who knows, no way on earth it takes that long for food prep.

Really enjoyed the food! Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. The frijoles charros was great and so were the salsas. Had a potato taco and fish taco, chips and guacamole, and rice. The atmosphere was nice too.

Absolutely love the tacos but the girl who they have had working lately has had an attitude. She acts like you are a bother to her when you call in a to go order. She was propped back reading a book when my husband picked up our food tonight. Other than that the food is wonderful.

The first time I ate at Sol De Mayo I went for lunch! It was so delicious that I took my kids back for dinner!! The food was so fresh and absolutely delicious!! We recently had them cater dinner for 25 people... I ordered fish, steak, and chicken as well as the corn. When we picked it up everything was hot, well packaged, and ready to serve! The food that night was incredible. There was plenty of food for everyone and we received lots of compliments! This is our new favorite restaurant!!!
