This used to be my favorite shrimp truck on island. I made my family drive up with me on Sunday after traveling from the mainland all day Saturday. We ordered 1 coconut shrimp, 1 garlic shrimp, and 1 surf and surf. It took longer than usual but I wasn’t upset given they seemed busy and a little overwhelmed. We finally got our food and received 1 coconut shrimp and 2 garlic shrimp. I walked back to the truck to say I had ordered the surf and surf but was missing the mahi. The lady rudely responded that the mahi was not listed on my ticket. She was correct that it was not written down which meant that the order was taken incorrectly. Then I realized even though it was written down as 1 coconut shrimp and 2 garlic shrimp, I was charged for the coconut shrimp, garlic shrimp, and surf and surf (which is exactly what I ordered AND more expensive). But they were unwilling to admit or correct their mistake. And the food wasn’t even good for the first time. Sad and disappointing. It’s one thing to have the food off one time, but not acceptable to be rude or distrusting of your formerly loyal customers.

Friendly and fast! Wow! Garlic shrimp with rice is delicious! The spice is fantastic on the rice shrimp! Great spot to pull off the road and sit next to the beach at one of the tables across from the shrimp shack truck.

Our family of 4 (including one non-seafood eater) LOVED our plates at the Shrimp Shack! The garlic shrimp plate won the family favorite award. The service was friendly and you just couldn't beat the view!!

The coconut shrimp was amazing with the mango and honey sauce they make themselves. Even the rice seemed to have a tasty hint of garlic in it. It's a bit expensive but glad we tried it at least once. They only take cash.

Went here for Garlic Shrimp and it is so tasty! Service was great. People were awesome! I definitely recommend coming here if you're in the area!

Me and my husband stop by to pick up lunch for the group and was so impressed by the customer service. And the food was amazing. Got the shrimp and steak. The steak was so tender. It’s across the street from one of the many beaches and they have tables set up on the beach. Beautiful views. The also have these wooden swings under the trees I could have stayed there swinging for hours. Beautiful and peaceful.

My husband and I had been told to hunt down a food truck as one of the top experiences, driving around the island. We pulled to the side of the road after spotting this amazing food truck. Run by a lovely lady. The food choice was exciting and the resulting meals were stunning. Payment was taken inside the convenience store adjacent to where the Shrimp Shack is parked. The store also sells a range of drinks and snacks. I can’t wait to come back here again on our next visit to Hawaii.

Cannot say enough about how much we loved this place. The ladies working were lovely and the food was fantastic. We paid inside the store after ordering with our credit card and were told we could buy some beers and drink them with our meal if we sat across the street on the beach to eat. They had a few tables on the beach and an adorable swing my child loved. Best lunch we had during our entire trip. No wait for us to order, waited maybe 10 minutes for our food. Make sure you check their days and hours of operation.

Good food, very tasty. Coconut shrimp are very good and the sauce is amazing. Very friendly people and fast service. Really recommended to take away and eat at the hotel

My family and I came here for lunch and it was fantastic. Easily the best Mahi Mahi I've had on the island. This is for sure the type of place I would eat at regularly if I lived on the island.
