That was amazingMy first plate I chose the hot wings, country fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, Mac and cheese, okra and red beans. My second plate I had the sweet potatoes, chicken breast, and green beans. Food was awesome, I left 100% satisfied, and the people working were very friendly. Beats McDonalds and Subway any day.”

“Sorry starving and ate " my pictures " stopped traveling north because of billboard. They have a nice country buffet..but we ordered a local shrimp flounder combo to go fried okra/homemade slaw. WOW. Couldn't be fresher and very generous portions for the price. We split it and was more than enough. The adorable young lady who took our togo order was perfect!! Extra sauces..utensils..plenty of napkins even made us a large lemon water togo. GREAT EXPERIENCE. Packed with the locals so we knew we picked the right place!!”

“What a nice coffee and sandwich shop. The girl who made our coffee for us was very friendly. We sat outside at one of their tables, and the girl made our coffee brought water out for our pups. Decided to have a chicken salad wrap while we were there, and it was very good. A different girl brought the order out so she could meet our pups.”

“Great people working here. So nice and polite. We stopped there for our overnight at the campground across the street. I am on the Carnivore diet so I asked for a bacon cheeseburger (no roll) with two over easy fried egg. They came plated perfectly with the eggs on top of the burger.”

“We loved this place! Delicious shrimp salad with hard boiled eggs and pickles on top of a spinach and salad greens salad with tomatoes, bacon and cheese was my lunch. The fries were delicious, my son’s BLT had a crazy big pile of bacon cooked to perfection on it. My crab-cake-loving husband thought the crab cake sandwich was excellent! It was as big as a burger patty! Beautiful deck and docks to walk around after eating. Perfect local seafood restaurant!”

“Super friendly owner. Made you feel right at home. If you are looking for the hometown feel this is the place for you, so look no further. So we had the Shrimp and salmon pasta, the salmon philly, and the shrimp and oysters dinner. The food here is amazing. Seasoned to perfection. Cooked to order. The food was so good that we had to order some for the road. If you are in the area this restaurant is a must stop. Can't wait to come back.”

“ExteriorThey are located right at the Darien Bridge, if you're traveling north on Hwy 17, coming from Brunswick, you hang an immediate left as soon as you come off the bridge. There is a short single row of parking right along storefront and I noticed several times during my month-long stay in town that when they get busy, patrons sorta make their own parking spots. Lol. I don't think anyone gets towed but Fri and Sat nights make for some interesting parking solutions.InteriorI'd been here before back when it was the Spartina Grill and I don't think thr interior changed. Muted lighting (not too dark), with tables spaced nicely and a bar. There's also an semi-outdoor area on the riverfront where you can sit if you have a well-behaved pup. More on this later. FoodI ate here three times while I was in town. The first visit, I had a bluff burger (cheddar, bacon jam on the side, no onions, no pickles, extra tomatoes). The side options were plentiful and the hostess / server recommended the sidewinder fries (curly fries) but I'm one of the few individuals who doesn't like curly fries (they tend to wind up undercooked in random places) and add to that I'd eaten a LOT of potatoes / french fries since my arrival in town, so I went with a side salad, extra tomatoes. They forgot to put my bacon jam on he side (I had to peel it off to give to Gizmo), but otherwise it was a solid burger. And I had to re-request extra tomatoes on the salad. My second visit I had the grilled chicken sandwich with a side salad. The chicken was a little tough but it was seasoned really well. My final visit I had the chicken quesadilla with the seasonal vegetables as a side. This is the only meal I would not re-order. The chicken portion was tiny and I kept encountering bits of skin and bone fragments. On the one hand, I'm impressed that they appear to be deboning and preparing their chicken, in-house. But on the other hand, it really was unpleasant having to spit out chicken bone fragments. The vegetable medley was also a swing and a miss. Some of the veggies were great (zucchini and yellow squash), but the onions and tomatoes were an overcooked mess. And that reminds me, the pico de gallo was basically pureed. It was more like marinara sauce than pico. Price / ValueI think the food items are priced well. Especially in light of the riverfront dining option. Customer ServiceCustomer service varied. For the most part it was pleasant. The only real issue I encountered was the night I tried to place a phone order & I couldn't reach them. One of their listed numbers was a fax number. The other number was ringing about 20 times then fax machine screeching. Eventually, I drove up there. I could see inside clearly. The bartender entertaining a group of folks & a dog. And 4 servers were seated & hostess was standing at 1 table, all talking, laughing & occasionally petting another dog. I'd been doing 'landscaping,' cleaning & hauling bags of clothes & stuff to Goodwill all day. I felt grungy but I was tired & hungry. I was driving my Dad's old truck that had been parked for over 4 months & the battery is persnickety so I didn't want to shut the engine off. Add to that, I had Gizmo with me and he can be reactive around other dogs. He's fine if he's off leash at the dog park. He's fine if he's with J or anyone else but me. But if he's with me, it's a roll of the dice whether he's gonna stick out his chest and try to fight every dog in the immediate vicinity. Under normal circumstances, I would have been fine with leaving him in the car for 2 minutes to place an order, since I was parked near the door, but I didn't trust him to not stand up and inadvertently lock me out of the car and I didn't bring the dog carrier on this trip. Suffice it to say, the situation warranted a phone order. So I pick Gizmo up & awkwardly open the door (purse in one hand, armful of squirming dog in the other) and stick my foot & hea”

“first time to try this place, and they have a lot of customers. food must be good then. we ordered the fresh basil roll, appetizer sampler, tomyum seafood, pineapple fried rice , panang beef curry and sweet and sour red snapper. the fresh basil roll was nice. there was not much calamari on this appetizer sampler. disappointing. i was not a fan of their pineapple fried rice, another disappointment (first time to see raisins on fried rice???). on the other hand, the panang beef curry and the sweet and sour red snapper was spot on which i wouldboth recommend. servings were huge too!!”

“Our friends in Darien, Ga recommend Willie Jewell’s for some good BBQ. We all went together for a late lunch. We’re from Texas, so we were skeptical that their BBQ would be good. Well, let me tell you it was sooooo good. We had a sliced brisket sandwich with corn fritters. The sandwich was just right! Our friends from Darien, got some pork ribs and they shared one with us. The rib was soooo good, tender and almost falling off the bone. We will definitely be back to Willie Jewell’s for BBQ when we come back to South Georgia! Y’all go you won’t be disappointed!”

“Such a treat to live so close to A Moveable Feast. It’s our favorite place in town! The salads are both crisp and juicy, the sandwiches melt before your eyes and the desserts simply dangerously delicious! I love the way Tanya was so thoughtful in choosing the name for her restaurant. I have no doubt Hemingway would have fallen for the many feasts available on the daily menu just as I did. The soup of the day is always a healthy surprise to look forward to; the prices are reasonable and the montly art exibit is another thoughtful touch. Don’t miss this place if you long for homemade delights!”

“Waffle House Day Shift on Venture Dr was absolutely a delightful experience. We have lived in the area over a year, and this was our first visit, and I can guarantee you that it won't be our last!! Great service, great food, and reasonably priced. Cyndi was our server, and she was right on with suggestions on the menu when I couldn't make up my mind. I had a combination of everything for breakfast. Good thing my husband was there to help me finish such a big tasty breakfast. Eggs , bacon, hashbrowns, toast, and a waffle topped off with fresh hot coffee. This establishment is clean and the staff is friendly don't pass this one up!!! My new go to for breakfast!!!! Never had a waffle, so light and tasty!!”
