“My husband and I stayed at the Cloister. The property was stunning, the staff was professional and courteous, and our room was beautiful and very clean. Sadly, the restaurant, The Georgian, paled in comparison to other experiences on property. Our co-waiter, Willie, was attentive, courteous, and professional. He went out of his way to ensure a pleasant experience. Our main waiter (whose name I will omit to be considerate) was not what one would expect at a 5-star resort dining experience. The food.... disappointing. Bland flavor and poor quality,not commensurate with the Sea Island reputation. We expected a culinary and service experience similar to what we consistently receive at Ritz Carlton Salt restaurant. Absolutely recommend the property, just not that particular restaurant; discriminating culinary patrons will be disappointed.”

“Nice beachfront place with mediocre food and solid service. Shrimp were fine, fish was mushy, and fried oysters were a soggy clump. Fries were ok, coleslaw slaw was fine but small portion, for $52. Lots of better places to go! Deviled eggs were very heavy with closing pimento cheese spread. Drinks are good, but $18 to $20. Skippable.”

“The Georgian Room at Sea Island was a truly fantastic experience from start to finish. Everything about the meal felt thoughtful, polished, and beautifully done. The food was delicious, the setting was elegant, and the entire atmosphere felt special without being stiff.

Willy was amazing and really made the night memorable. He remembered every detail about us, was incredibly thoughtful and personable, and made the service feel warm and genuine. The rest of the staff were excellent as well — attentive, professional, and seamless throughout the entire meal.

The space itself is beautiful. The renovation feels immaculate, with a lovely atmosphere that matches the quality of the food and service. Everything felt refined, comfortable, and very well executed.

Highly recommend. It was one of those meals where every detail added to the experience, and everything was 10 out of 10.”

“Great night, great food, Harrison our waiter, and all his coworkers were exceptional! We had a great seat by the beautiful fireplace, and the beer is fabulous! The Blueberry was my favorite! The potatoe ship skillet, Brussels sprouts, beet hummus and veggies, stuffed pretzel , and Caesar salad were awesome! Can’t wait to go back !”

My husband and I shared the Mediterranean Bowl, and every ingredient complemented the others perfectly, creating the most delicious combination of flavors. I also ordered the vegetable soup, which tasted wonderfully fresh and homemade without being overly salty. And the side of crispy sourdough was absolutely worth it—it was the perfect finishing touch to the meal.

“We were staying on the island five days and discovered this restaurant the last night. It was the best food we tasted, the service was great, and the prices and quantity! Oh - and a great view! There were four of us and we all order something different along with appetizers!!! Everything was delicious!!!!! The only negative was it was our last night and we couldn’t go back the next day!!! We will definitely go again when visiting the island!!!”

“It is our first time as a family here in St. Simon’s island and our first time at Crabdaddy’s. I wanna shout out to our superb waitress Bella! She was amazing, lovely and took great care of us and made our experience there the best! Always on point with the refills and anything we needed! My mom had the blackened shrimp with grits, my step-dad had the seafood pasta and I had grilled shrimp with mashed potatoes and crab cakes. Props to the chef because that food was BOMBIN’! The crab cakes were the best I’ve ever eaten along with the dill sauce! My mom found the portion sizes for the shrimp and grits to be just right for her. While my step-dad didn’t care for the sauce in the pasta, he enjoyed it overall. Thank you Crabdaddy’s for a classy and 5-Star seafood dining experience!🦀🩷✨”

It’s apparent this is a hot spot for the locals, as the staff knew 99% of the folks walking through the door by first name, you don’t see that often nowadays. 100% recommendation.”

My girl had a tiny run-in with a beam (because… kids 😅), and before I could even gather myself, the owner was right there checking on her and on me. That kind of care says everything. Great food.
