We're from TX and happen to be in the area for a first time visit just after Chase Elliot win @ TX Speedway. We missed the siren but the friendly staff, patrons, and atmosphere made us feel at home. Good Ole southern cheeseburger and home made fries were delicious. A lot of NASCAR and racing history are in the Dawsonville Pool Room. I hope they read this as I want to thank them once again for a very delightful experience.

Racing is okay but when you have everyone's career in the state of Georgia everyone uses the name no matter how much a city changes it the Elliot name that is used and I've seen Gainesville Georgia completely changed and I've seen in young harris Georgia change a street name that used to be named Bristol st ya I'm sure it's just the name that is used in the entire state and that's okay but when you can't change people as well in reality nothing has change and people still making the same money that always have anyplace in the state and my response to the rating of just a star and as driver I would give a higher rating and other the years I've got to the point of not watching anything about big money and just a few years ago a sign put up at the shelter wanting people to sign up and i did and said i would for cash only at road Atlanta and they sent a bus to the shelter we went to the track thay gave 10 pages application to fill out an 2 weeks later mailed a card and i said no i will not do that so over the next couples of days i asked what did you all do direct people did that give you a radio no thay replied. And at the race hall county sheriff's department and Georgia State patrol working the gates and I'm a truck stop in the state that worked on that track 2005 and no I didn't work directing people or traffic.
I haven't been there to eat in years because of working too far away. But having the day off, I made a special effort to go for lunch. I had my usual cheeseburger with slaw, onions, ketchup and mustard. An order of fresh-cut fries and a sweet tea. It was the best meal just like it was back when ate them for lunch at least once a week. Thanks for keeping your food so yummy!
This was the first time coming here and I enjoyed it. The food was good the cheesesticks and onion rings needed to be taken out of the fryer early but overall still really good the meat needs some salt and pepper for seasoning but I recommend coming here the staff is very polite and the atmosphere is fun.
Hometown restaurant. Great food. Monday thru Friday the offer specials a meat and 2 sides! Just love this place!!
