I Love NY Pizza & Bar Dawsonville

Ever since the new owners took over the service is so bad. Have ordered several different times and every time something was wrong. I used to order once a week from there. Not anymore. What a shame. Recommend finding a different pizza shop. Pizza Azzuri works for me.

Still go to our local pizza and bar.Love this place !!! The staff and management make sure you’re given the best experience! Help support our local hang out. From live music to bingo and karaoke, this place has something for everyone, even poker and pool nights. Bikers are welcomed!!

I ordered thru doordash and my review was not posted. We have always loved their pizza! This time it was inedible! My son tried one piece of his and was sick all night! I called the restaurant as soon as we received our order and was told there was no manager in the store and they would call me. No one ever called and I can't believe they charged us for that disaster!! I wish I could post pictures here! They didn't even look like pizzas!!

Ice cold sauce on ravioli, cheese sticks we’re disgusting… other food was sitting there for well over 20 minutes and they were waiting on something to get finished… the girl was playing in her hair the whole time cooking… we’ll never be back.. we ended up having to leave it was terrible

The food looks NOTHING like the photos and it’s absolutely disgusting….you pay a decent amount for something you can throw together at home for 5$. I expected good and nice food for the amount I paid for and the pictures I saw and I got the opposite. Please update the photos of what yall say your food looks like cause yall just catfished me. THE GARLIC KNOTS ARENT EVEN GARLIC KNOTS?!??!

Food is good but service is not the best honestly

This was the 2nd time we have been to this restaurant and this time compared to last was completely different… the food was good but service was not great. The waiter took our order and then came back about 10 minutes later and said he needed us to reorder so he could write it down this time. Then our food came out one at a time. My in-laws were finished eating before the rest of us even got our food. They weren’t super busy but we had to ask for refills, he checked on us once after our food came out, and then paid us out and forgot about my sister in law and her boyfriend so they just left the money on the table. Again the food was good which was a plus but they definitely need some work with service/management.

Awesome Management Great Food We Had. A Blast ...

My favorite place on a Weds night!!! UPDATE!! Under new ownership since my last review. Had not been back for a while and ordered a Philly cheese fries starter, as my main meal. Food came out in a disposable aluminum cake tray, stone cold with stale, soggy fries, ongealed cheese and dried steak peices. Was a bit shocked that it even left the kitchen. The server said he would fix it, but didn't want to take a chance on another one after that disaster. I ordered a slice of pizza instead thinking, they can't mess that up.. that wasn't great either, cold and flavorless, so it's a hard pass for me going there again. My friends meal was cold and she couldn't finish it either. Disappointing as we don't have a lot of places in the old town to choose from for somewhere 2 minutes away and close to home instead of having to go down to the 400 corridor 15 minutes away. Such a pity!!

Been about a year since eating here for lunch on July 16th 2025. As always the pizza is cooked to perfection. We got the steak and green peppers pizza. But here is what we did... We replaced green peppers with red and added sun dried tomatoes, added pepperoni to the steak and topped it off with BBQ sauce instead of regular red sauce... You gotta try it that way it's INCREDIBLE... we had a brand new server guy who was great but had to leave . Cheryl took over and was AWESOME. Rachel was great and we cannot forget the wonderful cook... Muhammad. The crust was also delish and perfect. Thanks as always I love New York Pizza for doing a great job with service and quality food and drinks.
