There was only one man running the sushi bar so we only got 1 roll at a time. We got 2, and the server asked about the appetizer i ordered to which i told her i had yet to recieve it. When it got to me ot was still frozen. We sat there for over an hour and still waited for 3 more rolls, so i asked them to box them up because i had to leave. When i got home i tried to eat the sushi, and it literally tadted like dirt. Worse even still, it FELT like dirt in my teeth. Squid salad as well. 2 rolls and squid salad ruined it for me and i threw away at least $30 worth of food. I was super disappointed. Server was great though...

We loved this place for almost a year. We would go almost every Thursday night and it was never busy at that time. The food is great and decently priced. The problems have come up in the past 4-6 months. The service went downhill more and more until one time we ordered a fresh, raw sushi roll and watched it sit on the counter waiting for a waitress for at least 15 minutes. They were not busy. Then, we decided to try it one more time - we walked in and it was empty. Nobody working or eating, even though the door was unlocked. We waited for 5 minutes then just left and didn't come back. Something is seriously wrong with the management here, so we are no longer regulars. If things improve we might try going back; but honestly, Akami is better anyway.

For being short staffed, they really do a great job with making sure everything is taken care of. My daughter was disappointed with the new Boba teas on the menu but we explained that it's a new item and the restaurant will likely improve the quality with time.

I really don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share this experience in case it helps someone else. Two of us ordered the hibachi teriyaki chicken and beef fried rice, and within just a few hours of eating, we both became very sick—vomiting and feeling extremely unwell.
This was the only meal we had eaten that day, and we were really looking forward to it. Instead, it turned into something scary and disappointing. I’m not sure what exactly caused it—whether something was undercooked, left out too long, or not handled properly—but it’s clear something wasn’t right.
I’m not writing this out of anger, but out of concern. I truly hope the restaurant takes this seriously and checks into their food safety practices, because no one should have to go through that.
For now, I wouldn’t feel safe recommending this place to others.

This was my second visit and it was just as bad as the first time I went there. The first time I went in on a Friday and tried to get the lunch special. Was told that they don’t do the lunch special on the weekends by the older lady. Last I checked Friday is still a weekday. Then not even 5 minutes later the blonde haired server that was there took a lunch special order from a different customer.
This time around I went in on a Tuesday. Walked in and all I got was a finger point to the sushi bar. Sat there for 10 minutes waiting on some kind of acknowledgment. Didn’t get a menu or anyone asking for my drink order. All the while that same older lady just stood at the end of the bar starring at me. Had to ask if anyone was gonna take my drink order or hand me menu. The sushi chef at the bar said someone would be with me in a minute. Waited another 10 minutes. Now mind you there was barely anyone in the restaurant. Finally got my drink order in and waited another 10 minutes after I’ve placed my menu down indicating I was ready to order before it was taken. Got the nigiri and sushi combo with miso soup. Miso was subpar. No tofu or seaweed in it. The tuna roll was ok. 3 out of the 5 pieces of nigiri had old fish slime on the underside of the fish. I used to be a butcher and know what that means. That fish had been sitting for a long time and wasn’t fresh at all. Can’t believe I expected this place to be any better the second time around. Just go one of the other options in the area. This places sucks.

I am giving a 5 because of the price. Bento box brings a lot of food, but I wish they gave me more shrimp. It was supposed to be a shrimp bento box and I only found 2 shrimps on the bottom.

Slowly but surely becoming a regular here. Always appreciate the service received and when dining in the food is phenomenal. However, when I get food to go the sushi is never good. As long as I dine in the food is great. The waitresses I always have are just the kindest and care so much. The price is reasonable. All and all this is better than Kani House or another chain option. I’ll continue coming back unless something drastically changes!

Awesome dinner tonight at this Hibachi restaurant. Food was excellent and our hibachi chef was great entertainment. Portions were huge at a surprisingly reasonable price. The hibachi teriyaki chicken with shrimp, mounds of fried rice, hibachi mixed vegetables with chicken broth and small salad with ginger dressing was only $16 while my wife had the same thing minus the shrimp for $11. Service was adequate and restaurant appeared clean and orderly. We'll be back for sure🎊

Disappointing Experience
I was really looking forward to dining here, but unfortunately, the experience was frustrating from the start. Management was rude to the new hostess in front of guests, which set a bad tone. To make matters worse, they seated guests who arrived after us before we were seated.
After finally being seated, we sat at our table for 15 minutes before anyone took our drink order. Meanwhile, guests who arrived later were already being served fresh food. After waiting 30 minutes without receiving drinks or having our order taken, we decided to leave.
The restaurant itself didn’t feel well-maintained—windows were covered in handprints, our table was sticky, and the paper menus were worn out. The manager, rather than helping staff, stood near the bar watching.
Overall, poor service, unclean conditions, and inattentive management made for a disappointing visit. Would not recommend.

This is always a nice place, like it a lot more than Kani House and the waitress is great. The chef is always nice to the kids and I like how they have drawing activities for the little kids in case they are antsy

Service was terrible. They were not busy but the waitress did not provide service well. Constantly waiting, asking her to take away dirty dishes, even waiting so long on paying that my husband had to go up and ask for his card back...
