Stopped in Sunday morning and had a great experience. Our waitress Kim (aka “Starr”) was fast, friendly, and funny—she kept our table smiling the whole time.
What we shared: A Massive Egg Biscuit + Cinnamon Roll — warm and exactly what a Southern breakfast should be. • French Toast with sourdough on the side, grits, and two eggs over-medium. Everything came out hot and cooked right.
Quote of the day: When I asked if an egg biscuit and a cinnamon roll was a wise choice, Starr said, “Excellent choice—if you’re a child… but who’s judging?” 😂 Michele loved it.
Vibe: Clean, bright dining room with plenty of booths and a community feel. Bakery case up front looks dangerous (in a good way). Easy parking.
Bottom line: Comfort food, quick service, fair prices, and A+ hospitality from Starr. We’ll be back.

Had lunch there today with my girlfriend. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich with side of cole slaw. Sandwich was tasty however the coleslaw was nothing but minced green cabbage and a light dressing. No carrots or purple cabbage. It was lacking in vinegar and basic seasoning.
My girlfriend ordered the colossal club and it was a colossal disappointment. Didn’t come with cheese as advertised nor the requested “garden” which is tomato, lettuce, onion. Doesn’t every club on the planet at least come with cheese lettuce, tomato? So essentially my friend got a plate of deli meat between 3 pieces of bread. The waitress offered to get the garden toppings and bring to the table. Unfortunately my friend has difficulty with both hands so dressing her own sandwich at the table wasn’t an option. Had to request it be taken back to the kitchen to have standard club toppings but came out a second time without cheese.
We both asked for extra mayo with our sandwiches which didn’t come out on the plate, so we asked again. We got one side …we both wanted extra mayo so that’s 2 please.
It’s really unfortunate when dining out to think “coulda gotten better had we stayed home.” We were hoping to support a local business over a franchise but based on this experience we won’t be back.

I make a weekly pilgrimage to eat lunch at Papa’s even though it’s at least 30-minute drive for me. I love all the menu choices, lots of veggies to choose from. And the chicken livers and the catfish are the best around. The only thing I haven’t liked is the bread puddling; it’s way too sweet, not at all like a real old-fashioned bread puddling. Tip to waitress: you should ask everyone at the table if they’d like dessert, not just the person whose meal includes it. Otherwise, the service here is mostly good and the prices seem reasonable. I look forward to my weekly visit.

Home cooking at its best. My wife and I were glad to found this place. It is kind of hidden. Definitely worth your time. Only serve dinner on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Breakfast and lunch the rest of the week.

Chicken philly cheese steak was great tender chicken, quality cheese and grilled veggies. Not greasy and the hoagie bun was exactly what I had hoped for. Cozy home feel decor, kitchen wait was a little long but worth it they may have been down a person that day but I'll take quality over quick any time.

I have been to this place twice now and have enjoyed each time. This 1st time my husband and I had salads, the 2nd time I had the chicken fried chicken and my sis had country fried steak. The service was good each time and everyone is very pleasant.
