So I decided to tr try ordering breakfast to go from a new place. I gave into temptation and ordered the chicken fried steak biscuits and gravy w/hash rounds. They were wayyy bigger than I was expecting and I couldn't even eat the second one or most of the hash rounds. I was really expecting the small biscuits that you normally get served but was pleasantly surprised. It was very tasty. Even with it being delivered and covered in gravy, while the biscuits got a tad soft which can't be helped, the chicken fried steak didn't lose any of its crunch. If you like good biscuits for great prices and huge portions, I have to recommend this place.
Excellent burgers
I was very disappointed with the food and service. They brought out my onion rings 15 minutes before my burger. The onion rings were not cooked properly and were gooey inside. The burger took for ever and when I got it was not worth the price I paid. The service was worse. There were only a couple of people working there and they couldn’t keep up with everything. The trash cans were overflowing and the place was a mess. I will never go back to this place. Not worth it.
Love the atmosphere! First time inside for breakfast. However the food was barely warm. Nothing was hot. Also the cast-iron pans the food is served in, transfers a rancid oil taste to food. Especially any food on the bottom. Please check the cast iron pans. Maybe they need to be re-seasoned with different oil. But the time before I ordered a sub and onion rings through drive through and they were great.
Delicious!
Good food Great coffee!
Cold coffee Zero employee concern

A great place to stop in for a quick lunch. I enjoy the Reuben the most. The coffee is delicious. There is always plenty of seating and good service.

Went here with my dad, he ordered the bacon and cheddar burger and said it was the best burger he’d ever had! however, i ordered the mac and cheese with my meal and it’s more like runny queso with some noodles in it, would not recommend. the burgers are good but that mac and cheese is strange.

We live nearby; but it has been a few years since we visited Ray's. Now, I remember why it has been so long. Tonight's objective was a good burger and a beer. In spite of the online reviews and photos, THERE IS NO BEER! Not a good start...
The standard hamburger comes with 2 patties of decent beef served hot on what appears to be a soft house-made bun. That is the [only] good news.
We each ordered the mushroom Swiss burgers. We shared an order of fries. The beef patties were almost tasteless due to a lack of proper seasoning. My bun also contained a large piece of mostly limp lettuce and a small slice of tomato that was hard and mostly green as it must have been the slice closest to the tomato stem. The advertised grilled onions were meager (about the size of 2 match sticks) and tasteless. The mushrooms were plentiful but also lacking flavor. The quantity of grease soaked the soft bun. My wife's burger was similar, although her tomato slice had a tinge of red color. She had only 1 fragment of grilled onion. Her burger dripped a lot more grease and the bun disintegrated. They replaced her bun with one that was more toasted to hold it together. Our sandwiches appeared to have one slice of cheese each.
The seasoned French fries had even more grease. They arrived with a little cup of white mystery sauce. It was too bland to identify. Overall, our joints won't squeak after this meal.
And, the tea was a poor substitute for a nice, cold beer (IPA?). The visit lasted just over ½ hour. We were the only customers in sight; although a gentleman did stop in to pick up a take-out order. In all, it was a woeful disappointment. Note to self: Next time get a Whopper.
