Sometimes it better to be lucky than good. I just happened upon this great BBQ spot just a few minutes from where I was staying in Decatur. Ribs were unreal! Can't wait to go back.
First time here was today ( April 26,2025) and I was not disappointed at all. You can smell the bbq outside of the establishment. Once inside it's on and popping..... Your greeted by the guy with the grey beard( sorry,I don't remember his name). He showed me the menu and it was loaded with multiple great items but I pick the brisket with baked beans and lemonade. Omg!
The smoked 1/2 chicken (bone-in, not cut into pieces, an actual 1/2 chicken) is one of the best in town. Is is a little messy to eat a BBQ 1/2 chicken? Yes, but trust me, it's worth it. They are also savvy about GF. If you have a gluten intolerance, they can tell you what on the menu is safe for you. Yes, you can get gluten-free french fries here.
